Funny how I ran into the same exact problems when I was training Wing Chun. I think it’s applicable to anything group oriented. People did it in World of Warcraft too.
Also, who from here is really scared to compete? I understand some of the ranbats guys are, but they don’t post here and most of them dropped starting with the one you went to Scott. I saw way more SRK people there than the people who showed up for the Samurai and the first Lan Speed tourney.

Don’t forget how spread out the valley is compared to other cities. From my house in mesa to mvc3 ranbats = 100 miles round trip. Back east a trip like that would take me to another state.

Haz worked hard for this streaming to happen and Tristen kinda just shit all over it more like disrespected the scene and its players! Im all about trolling but i have a certain level of respect for this scene dispite how this crowd leans toward on another when it comes to players and comp. Tristen is entertaining on a social aspect but when it comes to FG dude your booty and seriously i dont think anyone cares if you are bad at games or if you beat me some or someone better, you sound like a broken record with the same nonesense.
For the streaming we REALLY need to focus on gameplay and player backround status to me thats important, i think Walter and Luey are a good mix for commentating.

okay but seriously… abnormal to this community I take full responsibility for everything that came out of my mouth on Saturday. While I did not say anything that I didn’t mean or think was funny to me, I do apologize for anyones feelings or ego’s that were hurt. I appreciate your opinion Arnul, and have always respected you for not being afraid to express how you feel. I would like to mention that your statement is far from logically sound, but with a lot of assumption the idea that I think you are trying to get across is valid. So instead of senseless bickering, I will gladly absolve myself from commentating on anything ever.
Since I am here I do want to clarify a few things:
I think Hazem is arguably the most awesome person that Arizona’s fighting game community has seen in a long time. I respect him, his family, and everything that he has done for something that he loves.
I haven’t a clue why anyone would actually listen to my opinion in regards to player skill or anything of the like. To be offended by my statements to acknowledge that they are true. Which they kinda are.
I think live streaming arizona marvel matches is a great idea, but I don’t personally see the value of even having commentators in the first place. It’s not a major tournament, and I am pretty sure anyone tuning into the stream can see whats going on anyway.
With 2 notable exceptions, I like just about every player in AZ. The 2 I don’t like, are creepers. Yes CigarBoB is on the “like” list. So is Juicebox.

gg’s on Saturday, sorry I couldn’t play in the tourney. Ricky’s wife Amanda wanted to leave b/c she was bored and that was the end of that chapter. Big props to Logie for beasting on everyone so hard. You made a number of people mad salty and it was hilarious to see that on the stream.
I was on the chat and people kept complaining about him. At least two people in the chat said he was disrespectful and one of them left and never came back. My friend was watching the stream and he kept complaining about the commentary when Tristan was on. About the commentary, he said that people talked a lot about nothin and there was a lot of shittalking when they should be commentating on the match. He is usually on Skype w/ me and we watch WNF/Guard Crush so it’s tough for him to adapt to AZ’s commentary when he’s used to listening to Spooky/Yipes or James/David
