Hey everyone. Just posting here too try and get an idea of get together and such before I move down to Phoenix. I’m a decently skilled player Up here in Reno. I was wondering if you guys have weekly events like we try and do down here, but we all know life gets in the way. I’ll be moving down within the month and would like to get some games going. Every thursday people gather at Gameworks to play on our 2 SSFIV AE set ups (4 cabs total).
Every saturday we have a tournament at Hazem’s amazing house, and that shit is STREAMED!

Friday NighT MvC3 Tourney
Hey everyone just a reminder that we are still having a MvC3 Tournement and we will have for sure 3 setup’s running with streams on the winners pending on if my brother gets it working in time. Also we have a for sure 15 people coming tonight , I know that Dan(Danimitsu),Cory(makiveli),Yoshi,Chris and joe will be there and thats just to name a few people.

Oh ya and carlos the reason why its hard to get people to come to tournements with $5:00 entry fee’s is because people are fucking cheap,Also people here dont even understand what its like when you go out of state for a tourney.I remember the 1st out of state tourney i went to i spent $30.00 to register and $10.00 per game i entered. I doubt any big name players will ever come out to AZ for a $1.00 Tourney. The main reason is even if they won the tourney it wouldnt even pay for there gas home. There has to be a reason for people to want to play hard and win a tournement.
And im not hating on HAZ for what he is doing,I enjoy myself every time i go over there It reminds me of all the gatherings at Tommy’s house we used to have. Thank you again HAZ for trying to bring a dead community back to life.
I usually play at my pad on Fridays with a couple people who are down to drink some Coronas/Buds and play Marvel! I might make it down there but no for sure.
Also i think our scene is far from dead, just lazy and gas is fucking stupid right now!
ummm jake i think you need to re-nigg (take back) this part of the post cause im POSITIVE that at least 90% people that post in this forum has been to a out of state tournament that had if not the same cost to enter plus registration fee or more… And not to mention it was hella late notice like you talked about it at haz’z but when everyone is worried about casuals, tourney match ect… Then it doesn’t really tend to sink in I myself must spent time with my baby momma otherwise i’d be there but don’t turn around n tell niggehs they cheap n don’t know nothing about OOS tournaments lol
thing is most little weekend tournies i doubt will be so huge anymore what with alot of ppl having real life stuff goin on or work, etc. not everyone goes out of state as often as they did years ago. so unless its an event like devastation or evo where there is gonna be a few hundred ppl at the least i highly doubt anyone would come out for a smaller tournament. that and gas is ungodly right now, see even depending on a person’s vehicle it can even be more of an incentive to not travel as often. (just like having a truck that takes $90 to fill its 25 gallon tank 
lol) but im just sayin, using the out of state card doesnt really have anything to do with our small tournies here. i feel what your sayin tryin to make ppl wanna try harder with more on the line but i dont think the money has anything to do with it. heck with how things are now even if you won every weekend tourny it wouldnt really net u shit anyway, its not bout the money at all , its the experience u get from playing against everyone else and learning from your trials is what matters about going to a tournament. just my 2 cents on the part.
