I think the reason SG-1 stuck around for so long was because the storyline, in which it was the lesser advanced humans vs. super advanced Goa’uld. You rooted for them to take them down and it was extremely compelling and that’s essentially how you became attached to the characters. While SGU focused more on a BSG style, except with a much weaker main storyline.
Went to MGL yesterday, pretty sure In n’ Out had a company party there, there were huge Semi-trucks with In n’ Out trailers passing out food. Tons of people, seemed pretty crazy, but it was closed to the public obviously. As far as the P2 stick being broken I didn’t really notice the people I was playing having any problem jumping, but I didn’t actually play on it.
For the record, the Stream looks really good, and I’m impressed but my only negative feedback would be sure up the commentary a bit. It’s great though watching and there’s a lot of good games regardless.
Yeah, it’s a bit early. The main reason being that not a lot of the players who are expected to be good have see much tournament time. Based on the four tournaments we’ve had (not counting the launch tournament), Uncle Probo and myself have been dominant. Probo was not at the Booksman tournament, and I did not play in the tournament.
I’m sure some of the MvC players will probably get into the game as well, but it’s too early to determine where they’ll fall in the rankings.
I liked the original SG movie, but disliked SG-1 and Atlantis (although I didn’t try to watch either until after I had seen all of BSG). However, I really enjoyed SG-U for the most part. Only thing I disliked was the random Dawson’s Creek style music that would play during some transitional scenes.
I can understand why a typical SG fan would dislike the show, but I think they were looking for the BSG audience. The problem is that they didn’t really market it as a BSG version of SG, they just marketed it as a new SG. I would’ve liked to have seen it go at least into a third season though.
If anyone is playing Terraria I have a dedicated server up with 4 slots available. Just PM me for the ip and password. Brainpipe and I am on it. Its a really fun silly game.

We need to decide and agree on an entry amount for the weekly tournys at the HAZMAT. As talked about before, a portion of everyone’s entry fee will go to the house.
This past Saturday it was $2 entry, with $1 going to the house. People have been talking about wanting to increase the entry fee, and personally it doesnt matter to me. $2-1 seems like it wouldnt be a problem for anyone at all. So let’s discuss and come to a general consensus.
