Ban kratos. It’s not fair to players that don’t have a ps3 and have no access to use him or practice against him. Granted, I heard he’s ass right now. But it just wouldn’t be fair, unless xbox got a generic skinned character that played 100% like kratos. Which I doubt

Reading more and more reports that MK9 is horrible online, definitely a deal breaker; anyone here in AZ have it tried it out online?
I guess I will cancel my mk order rather not waste it until I get more detailed info on it.
BTW anybody plays MAGIKA? I worked my ASS off to get to chapter 6 or 7 and this game is fucking BRUTAL, but I love it. Needs more peeps to play it (^_^)

Poor Louis stormed off before he had a chance to play his 3rd place tie-breaker. It has been a while since we have had a single-elimination tournament, weird placements.
I will post up tomorrow, barring issues, with the details for the next few events…
I’m liking MK so far, but there are definitely some things you need to get used to. The timing is a bit odd and the priority/hit boxes on certain stuff will catch you by surprise. I also think training mode is ass.
I haven’t played any offline comp other than the launch tournament, and I didn’t really know what I was doing. Online is absolutely terrible. Some matches have been better than others and 1v1 player matches seem to perform better than 1v1 ranked or King of the Hill matches. However, even in the best online match (for me), I can’t do any real juggles, I can’t react to teleports and it’s very difficult to start any kind of footsies game.
Hopefully I can get some offline matches in sometime this week. Still can’t decide on a main, and with the lackluster training mode I can’t even test what’s safe and/or adv.

sounds about right. when people picked a wrong assist in tourney as long as they told me before round started that’s fine but when game starts and it’s a wrong assist and you reset or pause i’m gonna raise hell since money’s on the line. peeps playing high level play mvc2 in general aren’t that nice in the first place :d

But in MvC2 we normally knew as soon as we picked and fucked up n before we started doing shit, like “oh fuck, wrong assist”. We hardly ever mashed on character select unless it was MSS, all 1st assists. =D

Supah dupah ninja edit Nah that shit was legit. Chris came in and did “open fire” got torn up along with point. but this was in like 5 secs. Then they both stopped before the pause. I think it was the right call. Now if Dan had DHC’ed from Wolvie to Storm n killed assist and then Sean paused the game, I woulda said DQ Sean. Cuz at that point you woulda had to do a NFL replay after the fact. This was all done in a timely manner. Sucks it happened but at least it’s a $1 ranbat. Had it been a regular tournie this would be O_O
If you guys watch the footage, he switches it to gun fire and looks at it for a second before he picks it.

He didn’t hesistate before pickin it. More like he picked it and then stopped for a bit, but he was then on to the next character… If he did notice it right there, he still played it out until the badness happened…
I’m not gunna say what I think happened cuz I could be wrong… I get mixed ideas from this one.
