Re-introduction I suppose: I’ve been lurking for awhile and wanted to get back into the community so I figured I’d join for once. Luckily I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a good deal of everyone here through hanging with Dorion/Ray/etc. and going to Game Works/Ranbats/AIAB (once), but I’ve been out of the scene for awhile due to financial issues. I only have a custom PS3/PC stick I had built for me last year at the moment; I goofed and couldn’t wait until I had enough for a dual-mod. Anyway, I’ll try to make it out to all the gatherings I can, and I’ll be hitting up Game Works tonight.
Also, Haz, thanks for the add. I can probably bring a PS3 setup if there’s any need as well.

Haha thanks John, I definately wanna get more practice against your Ibuki and Armando’s Seth, I need to lvl in those matchups, and you two are extremely patient which is badass, it’ll give me an opportunity to perfect my frame trap setups and option selects, I’ve been trying to implement more of Guy’s close st. forward in frame traps, but I couldn’t force myself to do it against you guys while constantly thinking about what wakeup option selects to use as well as jab staggering haha, but I’ll get it. I think for Guy vs. Ibuki, regarding spacings, Im good being in close, but at st. mk range your mk frame trap into ninja kicks merks my standing normals, like I said, your slide stuffs my hozantos as well my non-ex run options, but gets stuffed by my st. far mk, so I look forward to us investigating that matchup further haha, I just gotta get better at blocking that kunai vortex…that shit hella wrecked me last night, well done on your part.
@Armando: Your Seth is OMGZWTFBBQ! You’re the first REALLY good Seth player I’ve come across, so I’m pumped for that exposure, gotta figure out an OS that beats your tele on wakeup, might have to burn bar to do it with ex hozanto.
@Zorn: Yeah man character selection has always mind-muddled me as well, I try to use the Japanese approach to picking chars: pick the char you like the most based on their identity (I fell in love with a ninja char americanized with NIKEEZ :wgrin:) and from there, you will find ways to make their play style work for you, plus you will have a personal-based motivation to research and develop the character further. If you ever want some frame trap, run stop, or bushin flip set ups, lemme know man, I’m always down to talk some ninja haha.

I wish I could have made it out last night, but I am sick as a dog. I hope to feel better for the tournament tomorrow though.
I’m going to try and get out there next week. It’s mainly a matter of finding a babysitter. Ours is usually reserved for Thursday nights.

Mike, looks like a plan change. My gf was originally going to work at 6pm but she’s going at 10pm instead. She takes priority right now since I was already gone for 5 days for evo. Oh well. I’ll see everyone tomorrow at ms store though

BTW when does the unlimited games thing start? Are they still doing that on Thursdays?
I’ll be there at around 6:30-7:30, I have to help someone move some furniture to their dorm otherwise I’d be there right now. The unlimited games deal for $10 starts at 5PM and lasts to midnight now; although, every week I’ve been there no one shows up on the AE cabinets until around late 7 or 8.
