If all you really need is just a spring, you can buy new springs for a buck. If you need to replace the PCB/microswitches, that’s around $13. Cheaper than buying a whole new JLF, anyway.

Yeah, just the spring. The microswitches and the rest of it are just fine, but the spring has been stretched out a ton. I thought about just buying the spring alone, but if I were to buy the spring on Lizardlick or something I thought the price in shipping would make more sense to just buy a brand new stick. Don’t quote me on that though, haven’t really looked up prices yet. Also, I figured it’d be a good idea to buy within the community, and it seems less likely that someone would be selling a spring than a whole JLF. If anyone IS selling a JLF spring though, hit me up!

Viola’s cool, but her damage is terrible for the effort you put in. You can pick up Natsu and do the same damage in a balls-easy chain combo as any of those complicated Viola combos do. It’s a shame, because her orb shenanigans are tons of fun.
More or less agree with Scott’s assessment overall; it’s fun to play but the risk/reward on random button mashing and random supers seems really messed up. No disrespect to the people who enjoy it, though.

Didn’t we have the same amount of random BS when sf4 first came out. How many people got caught with stupid wakeup ultras. I know i did, but i came from playing 3s and i wanted to do meaty attacks, and that shit didn’t transfer. But now a days that wakeup ultra shit rarely works. I think people just need to let the game grow and see what it becomes before saying its simplistic and mashy. We all know that are tons of people who think sf4 is to simplistic, and people think mvc3 is simplistic as well. That just seems to be the way fighters are going. So why wouldn’t SCV do the same thing. They wanna get paid.
I still do meaties in Sf4. In Marvel, too. They’re really powerful in Marvel too, people love to wake up chicken blocking and get hit by a meaty low.
I would argue that 3s would be more bullshit in the meaty area because people could wake up parry, and the risk in doing so is a lot less than a wakeup ultra, for probably a greater reward (meter, damage)
Figures, I always seem to like characters with no damage at the onset of the game. Lemme guess, she has less health too?
As for the mashiness, honestly for my casual purposes that makes the game perfect for me. Easy execution, do cool shit, really shiny? Sounds like a good deal, I’d be all over that if it wasn’t for The Old Republic. Because the best thing about TOR is that it has Star Wars characters in it, and that’s something Soul Calibur can’t match.

my point is, when the game was new, meaties…at least by me were done in the wrong way, so they were punished with BS ultras. But now a days, that shit doesn’t happen, because people are aware of it, and the people who think about it are also aware of getting baited.

Old Republic outlives it’s usefulness after the main story though. Raids are uninteresting to do, rolling an alt is risky because they have the legacy system coming in March, you can only do so much heroics before you’re fully geared. Or you can make a set of epics or PVP for them. It’s fun and all, but the technical problems doesn’t make it worth it to play especially when there’s stuff like Kingdoms of Amalur and Mass Effect 3 on the horizon.
