dual sided air strike is really good. i feel like i need to be on bottom as ted w/o piercing airstrike because of how much more ground pierce covers that way. Just was on a team made a sick comeback though our base was at like 1/2 to 3/4 health and we had only gotten like half damage on their first one on AI404 then we had a rae join and my team just balled up and steamrolled.
Fucking lonestar pinned me into the 1st turret with bull about 6 of my 9 deaths. Was pissed. Shotty almost got me out a couple of times though i think if i switch to machine gun after and lay a strike down it woulda been possible to escape.
I’ve been making hella players rage with Yuri, I just stay high and spam mines from above and get random kills, or I get completely rapes and feed lol, Yuri is wich a high risk high reward character in the hands of someone not used to him like me.
fortunately most games with him I do very well going like 10/4 rather than 1/10 as I do other games
getting level 1 Bull so fucking good I feel so happy now Coco isn’t as much of a threat anymore.
Yea I tried awesomenauts for a few hours and that’s my experience with Yuri. I either just litter mines everywhere and people die or my Yuri gets shit on. Maybe I’m not using his laser right but even with time warp and trying to chase down, it’s hard to secure kills with a Yuri if you are alone and if they are rich enough to build some tankiness. Since the laser makes him rather immobile and it’s more about constant damage than bursting people down. I didn’t try the most recent patch, since I have a huge backlog of games though, so maybe they changed it a bit.
I had one game where I was Derpl and this Voltar kept following me around. I just spent everything into tank mode and we just base rushed and they couldn’t make us go back to base, except for the leon on my team who died trying to rush down and pull people toward us.
How do you play this game? It just started playing and it was pretty fun until the other team lost all of their turrets and just started standing behind their drill, and picking us off when we tried to damage it. Is there a way to flush them out? The rest of the match was pretty much just clearing a path for our little robots to get to their drill to do damage.
I’ve been playing Froggy G. This has been my build order:

My basic gameplan has been dash+tornado spam; either picking of damaged players or stunning full health players for teammates to finish off.
I would suggest not getting Solar Tree as your last thing because since its solar over time it is used to its potential when its bought as early as possible. Splash Dash is a super utility move since it can eliminate mines (ted/yuri), traps (derpl), possibly coco’s blaze things and ted’s shotgun blasts plus after it upgrades into a lot of damage and you can use it to escape pretty safely. I was never good with tornado but RBAY is powerful if you are playing against a team of all shooters (high likelyhood just because the number of naughts with melee attacks are kind of low).
Also idk how much it has changed but Frog’s guns used to be really good so I wouldn’t ignore them if I were you.
When it comes to people camping behind their base I usually play it safe and just kill the bots that come out so mine can get in and chip away. Be aware of what specials every naut has and just try to stay within sight of the base so they feel like they need to dive out to get you and your team and punish them when they do that. If its a Derpl sitting in their base go around to the other side because he can only shoot one way and try to get out before you get killed. Or you and your team can go to the middle of the field and start farming stuff (bots, health creep, solar boss) and at some point the other team will feel the need to come out.
New patch live today. Hopefully fixed Ted’s shotty, thing was just wild, and the increased cool down on triple airstrike was super needed. Coco’s change where she moves slower while attacking is a huge change it always seemed like she could just ride you while doing damage.
Gnaw’s change list is off the fucking charts long. Seems pretty interesting to me, I think hes better now. Overcharged Metabolism sounds pretty powerful, imo.
I might start playing again. AGDQ basically sucked up my entire week last week

-Coco’s movement during regular shot movement slightly nerfed? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME DECREASE THE HITBOX OR DAMAGE OF LB AT WAS BY FAR THE MOST ESSENTIAL NERF IN THE GAME RONIMO IS RETARDED
-I can’t tell is raelynn getting bird instead of saw droid is a buff or Nerf and her buffs are retarded she was fine the way she was
-Derpl’s solar increase on snare is a good nerf had no idea it was that cheap lol
-Gnaw is the most momentum based character, he doesn’t start to be useful until he gets upgrades on weeds and good placement so nerfing weed health may make him one of the worst now, Ronimo really want to discourage weed builds in favor of spit builds lol
-Surprised Genji got nerfed thought he was fine
Overall these changes aren’t a huge deal unless you use Gnaw weeds, good thing you switched mains exodus lol. I’m shocked and appalled Ronimo made so many minuscule changes yet completely ignored the 2 biggest problems that plague Awesomenauts balance: Coco lightning ball and Vinnie movement.
Coco LB needs to be somehow slightly shittier as is it does ridiculous damage, goes through everything, and is nearly impossible to dodge for most of the cast while Vinnie just needs to be a tiny but slower so we have a fucking chance to kill him before he runs away.
I’ve been out of it foreverrrr. I don’t remember the last time I’ve actually played, but once I get proper net back at my place in a couple of weeks, I’m hoping to change that.
As much as I complain about anything being OP it’s because the rest of the game is so well balanced that anything that is even a little broken stands out that much more.
People are saying Coco’s LB got nerfed…it’s not in the patch notes and the hitbox is unchanged to me, I’ve gotten hit with it enough times to know if it was nerfed or not lol.
So I know a few of you guys bought it recently, hope you guys also got the Starstorm expansion that gives you more characters and custom game modes. Let me know if anyone wants to play or has any questions, I’d be happy to help anyone learn the game which is fairly simple at first :tup:
