Hi there, Got the LGP and it works amazing.

I tried this Micro SD Card (with the adapter) and it does not seem to work with the device though

I have read that you need a class 10 (this seems to be a class 10 though?). Is there any way I can make this card work on my device? I did not do anything to the card out of the package, do i need to format it first or something?

Is there any way to get replacement component cable adapters for the LGP?

Officially no, but I do have access to spare cables and if I have time I can send them out personally.

The RMA sent through and they gave me a replacement. I’m wondering what is the smallest size I can record in? 15 minute video is like 2 GB and takes me a really long time to upload footage.

Goodness, I don’t even know honestly. Possibly 10mbps 480p? Also, what’s the source of your avatar?

Could you elaborate? I set it to 10 mbps, but i dont know how to change the resolution it captures in? I mean I have a 65 inch TV so i usually set it to the highest resolution, either 1080p or at least 720p. Don’t know if i want to sacrifice live gameplay for the sake of a faster download. Is there a way i can do this? Am i supposed to set my xbox resolution to 480p? seems unoptimized considering the hdmi connections.

Also does the Game capture HD 2 record files in an TS format like the LGP?

I have a problem with my LGP when i am going through the settings everything is working fine but when i say ready i get a black preview
i tried the fix you have on the website in the FAQ but i got this program isn’t responding so i don’t know what to do.

Its most likely formatted as NTFS if you popped it in right out of the box. Look up a program called guiformat and use that to format the card to FAT32

hmmm i tried that last night very quickly didn’t seem to do anything I will give it another shot after work. it appeared to be in FAT32 :s maybe I need to adjust the stream quality onto the card? thanks for your help tho

Awesome more problems with my hd capture 2. Tons of issues , I tried a bunch of fixes and now when I get the chance to record I see a red open circle blinking light but footage is not being captured. I honestly just want my money back almost.

Hmmm I’m just starting to think my micro sd card is just not compatible. I’m just gonna buy a regular SD card I’m sure ill have better luck. I have a 4gb sd card and I finally pulled a ft5 from it fri night and it looks SICK. Works great ripping straight to macbook pro just kind of stinks I bought this micro sd for nothin. Oh well ill stick it in my blackberry and finally have a proper music collection

That low? Possibly. We do have another device coming out soon, USB 2.0 device, HDMI only capture device that’ll be MSRP of 99.99 IIRC.

Likely a newbie question with the LGP, but how do I know if I am frame dropping with RECentral? Found out my laptop just isn’t up to the task of OBS and Xsplit in 720p, but I am satisfied with a basic stream. I am just not sure where I can draw the line in quality with RECentral.

I hope the next update includes more 16:9 resolution options below 720p for us poor folk. A 360p 60fps stream with all the bells and whistles on OBS is cool, but it would be nice to go a little higher if 720p is just barely out of reach.

I updated the firmware of my LGP and now it only works in PC-free mode
Both my monitor as Recentral say there’s no signal, when the LPG is in PC mode (blue mode).

More people have this problem?

Hi there.

I see that RECentral is now available for Mac for use with the ExtremeCap U3. Is there plans to extend mac support to allowing other 3rd party apps to work with the device, i.e the new OBS Studio rewrite, Cocoasplit, Wirecast, etc? From my understanding, this would mean writing a CoreMedia IO plugin.

Do you know if this is planned?
