So I havenāt watched the trailer yet (itās loading in 1080p right now), but since the last Avatar has to die before a new Avatar can be born, and if Iām not mistaken Korra is the daughter of Aang and Katara, that must mean when Katara gives birth to Korra, Aang dies??? Fuck, man, if thatās how the first episode opens, Iāmma be crushed cuz Aang was cool and shit. Thatās on some circle of life shit.
Iām pretty sure one of the other main characters (Tenzin) is the child of Aang and Katara, and is not Korra.
The show creators have mentioned about revealing the whereabouts of Zukoās mother, but that it might not be done through the show. Could that mean a hint towards a spinoff animated movie? I can only hope.
She isnāt Aangās daughter, but she does learn airbending from his youngest son Tenzin.
Well, if sheās the descendant of Aang, and is the new avatar, who is the last avatar before her? If itās Aang her grandfather or whatever, that still means he has to die when sheās born right?

IIRC, because Aang went into hybernation in the giant ice boulder for a long period of time, it decreased the lifespan that he would have once he became unfrozen. Which causes Aang to pass away sooner than he would have naturally. Each new avatar is a reincarnation of the avatar. So they donāt have to be blood relatives of the last one.
I like how Zukoās son is named Mako. (probably to honor Uncle Irohās voice actor)

The exact specifics are a little foggy so someone inform me if this is wrong, but isnāt that each new avatar means the death of the current/soon-to-be-previous avatar? Or are there periods where thereās no avatar at all until some child is born that is the avatar? Iām a little drunk and hazy on the details.

Man that trailer got me SOOOO hype, I canāt wait for the season to start. The animations really do look awesome. The new season really does look promising; looks like the series is gonna hold true to what weāve seen so far.
Once the current Avatar dies, the next is born into the next nation in the cycle. (Waterā>Earthā>Fireā>Airā¦)
And iirc, someone said that Aang is to Korra as Roku is to Aang in the first 3 seasons.

Cut out the fillers? The fillers were really good, imo. Even though they donāt relate to the overall story, they still allow you to get a much better sense of the characters who were really well done
