Civil Wars part 2 is fucking hilarious and solidified in my mind that Bolin>Sokka, although that might be because TLK is more freshly in my mind.
Ill admit I didn’t hate these episodes as much as the first 2 but c’mon they fucked up on the uncle and they made korra a bitchy cunt even after she apologized.
C’mon, Zoo. Bolin is a great character, but Sokka is that dude. He had just the right amount of goofball to heartwarming to balance out the rest of the cast.
I think what this cast needs is someone like Toph to call everyone out on their bullshit, blind jokes notwithstanding.
Bolin is not fit to carry Sokka’s jockstrap. When you remove their goofiness Bolin is who? ( I will wait). Sokka without his goofiness is still a leader, strategist and balanced out the groups.
Siblings do not grey at the same time and it is possible that Bumi dyes his hair, he’s either in his 60s or nearing it.
Okay but can we give props to the little girl who had the ovaries to waterbend a snowball and toss it at Korra while calling her the worst avatar ever in Episode 3?
Aside from that, Episode 4 was good. It was nice to see Asami get in on the action again, and I have a feeling Episode 5 will consist of Eska chasing down the group just like Azula and her group did to Aang and his group in The Last Airbender. That face though. :shake:

interesting…so i’m watching this behind the scenes video for lesean thomas(sanfords brother)'s…anime project. he lived in korea for a year and a half working on it. he’s doing this walkthrough for the studio…the studio worked on justice league…the batman…hulk vs wolverine…wonderwoman movie.korra…spectacular spiderman and young justice.
soooo…whatever your complaints on the animation…i dont think it has to do with the studio and has to do with the director/direction or the budget. cause the studio clearly is a boss one.

Wait, niggas are hating on the animation? The same animation that has tons of frames of characters performing complex martial arts movements and limb/body rotation that are lifted from real-life styles and katas?

I think the dip in animation quality will make sense when the season is over. It’s probable that most of the effort will be spend on Avatar Wan’s origin and the season finale.
You can’t complain about the animation. It’s always been top notch even if the story has been bland or slow at certain points

I was hoping for a more grey water tribe villain but I guess this moves the plot a bit faster. I’m getting the feeling that the leader’s “spiritbending” is really power lent from a previous Avatar who is after something. I think he was always jealous of his alpha male bro, but someone did a Palpatine on him to push him to the dark side.
I like how grounded Asami has remained despite all the bullshit she’s had to endure. Makes you wonder why her ex decided to go with an emotionally unstable drama queen. (No shipping)
Bolin is losing his humorous vibe and just seems like a complete bitch. I can understand being slow-witted but now he’s approaching Patrick Starfish levels of retardation.
Orochi Eska face at the end of this ep reminds me of the music man in Zelda OoT who gets psycho mad when you play Song of Storms near his windmill.
I know Sokka is that dude…he fucked the moon I mean you can’t top that, but I just really like the “Kramer’s” of casts the most.
Bolin is like a less experienced, sloppy sokka.
His game is weak and he fell for the crazy bitch without noticing any of the obvious warning signs…dude is shit tier by comparison of that reason alone.

Now for thoughts:
Why am I not surprised Korra’s Dad was set up? I should have called that a while ago but I REALLY didn’t think they would make it that predictable. Just like with any issues between one Big Alpha Brother vs the sneaky thinner Brother (Mufasa/Scar or Thor/Loki). Let’s see how far this goes as I hope there’s another bad guy behind him (like WS said a palatine pulling the strings and staging everything)
Agreed again on Asami too. For a girl who got effed up all over, she’s surprisingly handling things well. Mako doesn’t deserve her anyway. Attractive/Mature/Rich/Intelligent, Yeah seen many guys drop perfection just for something else thinking it’s all good but realize later that they messed up yet never admitting they downgraded. Bolin should have pounced on her but again he made a mistake too. Would have been nice to have the writers break up the usual story of both main boy and main girl getting together.
Korra…no comment for now. Let’s see where they take her.
Eska looks like she cannot take no for an answer but I hope this won’t be played as serious at all.
Varrick (I want to call him The water tribe guy formerly known as Prince) is funny with his eccentric antics.
I like seeing Tenzin’s family more now. They appear to be the most realistic of all the characters with their flaws but that’s great. We need to have more interaction between the air kids too. I hope they keep showing more of them and have some Adult Aang flashbacks.
Bolin is up there but he loses to Sokka not based on his accomplishments but because Sokka held his own going against, Aang, Toph, Iroh and to a lesser extent Azula as far bringing the comedy. Bolin is basically going against Tenzin’s kids.
Really Nick? Korra already on hiatus? Or did they change the schedule?
