haha avatar is the greatest. although iām not keeping close track of this thread because i have probably missed some important plot points and i donāt wanna see people blabbing. god i have so much catching up to do even though iām sure most of it is obvious.
prob not related but, seems so weird how mako died (iroh voice actor) and iroh isnāt speaking at all.
If youāve seen the Avatar chibi shorts, then youāll be glad to know that Mako has a damn good replacement (though, he can never REALLY be replaced).
it was a good episode. i wonder how long irohās been holding that disguise. arenāt there episodes of him in a hot spring or something?
and even though itās great for sokka to get an āupgrade,ā i dislike sharp weapons for characters in shows like these. they never stab anybody and only use swords and stuff to scare, and/or chop trees and metal and stuff. might as well have him use a staff
What disguise? Heās always been a fat old man. He started working out while in prison, as well as dieting to lose the blubber. I think you may have missed some scenes during a piss-break or something.

thatās most likely what happened - he started getting ripped and dieting while in prison. iām probably reading too much into it, but i was thinking stuff like āwhereād he get the extra blanket to make his belly? iām sure they wouldnāt give that to him in prisonā and ācan he really get all that energy to work out with the crappy food they give him?ā if you think about it, they donāt give him a lot to eat. and even if they do (like the last scene where the guard had a try) he spilled most of it so all iroh had to eat was a piece of bread. yeah, iām putting real life facts (people need on average 20,000 Calories a day, etc etc) to a fictional show. oh well.
it also makes iroh loads more awesome if heās always been that ripped and was hiding behind the āold and fatā disguise to make people underestimate him.

OK, Sokka learns the way of the sword. And Iroh does jail sit-ups and becomes buff in an instant. And for the bonus, Aang with the battle suit on. Total beast. So I guess you can expect more swordplay along with everything else Avatar brings us. The only question is who will Iroh do in first? He doesnāt have the OG in your life feel. Itās more of Iāll murder you where you stand feel. And Iām for it. Canāt wait for next week.
A day is pretty fast for Sokka to learn to fight, but I guess it isnāt too far-fetched since he isnāt a novice, and he wasnāt fighting the master-- just running away.
