Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

People still using the term Shipping wrong.

And I prefer shows that that has actual character progression and doesn’t constantly feel need to contradict itself.

But yeah back on topic. I don’t see asami going bad at this point. She had plenty to go evil but never did. I doubt she ever will now.

I hope she doesn’t because it would be obvious as fuck and cliche as hell for her character type.

Well…they did put her on the New Friends poster. I think she might be safe now. Won’t stop the pit in my stomach though.

Friends poster?

I been offline for two weeks which a lifetime in internet time. Make with the hookup.

Just check the previous page.

Oh I see. I automatically skip facebook links because they almost never work for me cuz I don’t have a Facebook so i missed it.

Sooooooooooo you… don’t like Brotherhood? I’m confused.

She still could. She was abandoned by her father and “boyfriend.” There’s motive.

More things on Season 2. Nothing we didn’t already know or assume for the most part, but it’s nice to hear some things from the cast and see the cast.

Lol. I’ll be posting my thoughts on the original fma series in the anime forum so I don’t derail this chat any further.

Still I think that scenario is very unlikely. But I wont completely rule it out I just highly doubt this kind of story would go that route.

Is it against union rules for me to want them to imply something between Bolin and Lin happened during a time skip?

hears mulan’s “i’ll make a man out of you” in head

It is not. And I hope the implication is knob-polishing. With her mouth. And [S]penis[/S] vagina.

heh, sorry about that. I will also stay on-topic.

Anyone can go evil. Even Korra. OR AANG gasp.

I found these on youtube just now. I hope its new for some of you guys too

Yea I saw them a while back, but there still pretty funny. In regards to the new information about book 2, Im a lil disappointed they didn’t just scrap the whole makorra nonsense and are still going forward with it. With that said, Im glad to hear they have heard about all the negative backlash and Im hoping this means they will handle the relationship better going forward.

Also I hope all the positive reception lin and tenzin got leads them to have more(or equal) screen time next season.

They shouldn’t have to go change shit just because fandom throws a hissy fit. While it’s fine to take some constructive criticism (aka, the meh way they handled the whole Mako/Korra thing) and change it for the future, there’s no way they should just scrap it altogether. Just go out and do it better.

While it was handled badly, you could say in a way, it’s a good thing that they did. Remember how old the new Team Avatar is. They’re teenagers, and not ones that had to grow up too quick like during a war. The relationships go down an understandable path when you realize they are teenagers, and thus subject to massive flip-flop, jealousy and just all-around stupidity. Even more brilliance when you compare it to how Lin and Tenzin and their relationship was presented. They show they still have a deep caring for one another, but after many years the throes of jealousy and petty anger (though Lin at first had a bit…comes with the territory of being Toph’s daughter) just don’t really register anymore. They unfortunately did not get to stay together, but they still remain close friends. Lin and Pema probably only get along for the family’s sake, if they were alone I can’t imagine their conversations going well. But every emotion shared is believable because after all these years, they earned it. Through all this, it delivers a damn good believable contrast with the fickle lust of high-powered teenagers.

And in a way, it does it better than TLA, because we really didn’t have that contrast. Other than a couple of throw away lines from Pakku, Ozai being crazy and the complete lack of knowledge of Iroh’s wife, we never really got to see how elder couples got by in the Avatar world. It would’ve been interesting to see if TLA had a Lin/Tenzin like duo being around, how the other pairings in TLA would’ve been recepted.

True say, I guess my thing is just I wanna see mako suffer for being such an insufferable douche bag. I mean korra messed up at first, but I really liked how they showed her growth as a character later in the season where she told mako asami needed him and she simply backed off completely. Even in the season finale when the idiot was busy trying to run game on her and she’s like we should prolly go to bed now.

But mako… that hommie just pissed me off completely because not only did he not handle the situation like a man, he was completely oblivious to his stupidity and finally not only did he not get chewed out properly for his behavior, he was rewarded with an awesome GF in korra.

Long story short, I just wanna see him suffer.

And yes, they did an amazing job with lin and tenzin, I hope they don’t reduce their screen time in book 2. With all the new characters I worry lin and tenzin(well lin primarily) might lose screen time.

He’s a Firebender. The suffering will come eventually.

Up to episode 4 now, Asami is a total babe.

And while looking for info, I accidentally spoiled myself. Damn it!

[S]Asami looks like she digs anal.[/S]

I mean Asami is so adorable.
