Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Book 4

i thought that was tarlock too. you sure?

Tarlok Tarlokk Tarlock
Marsha Marshuh Mmarsha
Until I see the correct spelling from Nick it’s coo to spell it anyway imo.

To a point, Remember when Tarlokk convinced Korra to challenge Amon to a duel. He’s probably unaware of who Amon is and what he’s really after.

maxx was talking about the identity of the supposed bloodbender in the courthouse from the flashback, not the way Tarrlok is spelled. Also, peasants is spelled incorrectly in the thing under your name.

i thought tarlock was gonna be in leagues with amon at the beginning of the episode. but its clear something happened to have him go all magneto on the non benders asses.

99% positive:

1- Age is inconsistent. The man in the flashback is clearly older than Tarrlok (dont give a shit about the spelling xD), which would mean he’d have gotten younger as the years passed.
2- Design is different. Skintone, eyes, nose, hair
3- A man who defies a whole courtroom, which includes the Avatar and the world’s saviors, by BLOODBENDING ALL OF IT would never, ever ever EVER NEVER EVER, be nominated for councilman  Ever.

they do look similar…but i guess obviously not the same person. wonder if their related…dat smirk.

I saw some theories on Tar being Amon’s brother and both of them being that flashback dude’s sons, then some jealousy shit between both of them happened and voila, Amon is an equalist (that doesn’t actually want EQUALITY) and Tar is a bender nazi fag.

Fuck, i need moooooore :open_mouth:

I thought it was already revealed that the guy in the courtroom was Yakone. Tenzin mentioned him already.

Ya. Wiki says it’s Yakone.

Well, the name was mentioned and the flashbacks were had, but I domt think its been confirmed yer (but yeah, im 99% on that too)

Anyway, I was rewatching the Aang vs Ozai finale. There was a huge freakin light show when Aang took Ozai’s bending away, but Amon just goes in and does clean and sober. This can’t be the same technique Aang used :s

Sent from my iPhone’s retarded keyboard.

I think that the light was just to show the mental struggle between the two. It wouldn’t be a very spectacular ending without the lights.

That mofo. THAT mofo there in (presumbly)water tribe clothing who’s not getting messed up like everyone else in the courtroom. Unless skin tones get a few shades lighter in flashbacks, I don’t think that’s Tarlock(unless he got a tan. Republic City has much fairer weather than the Poles.), could be Amon? I don’t think so, but ideas, anyone?

Dude, that could totally be tarlok. The flashbacks have pumped up exposure so the brights get significantly brighter (ie.: Aang’s skin is close to white in the flashbacks). I thought it was weird that he was the only one not being bloodbent

I respect the lightshow for an epic ending, but i dont see the producers dropping it, since they tend to be consistent throughout the show. Also, the mental struggle would still be there when Amon is wiping a Triad-boss clean, no? Gang bosses arent exactly weak-willed airheads.

I need answers gaddammit! double episodes/week plase :frowning:

He looks like Sokka

just gonna leave this here

interesting theory

damn i just relooked at the pic i posted…that nigga was blood bending…EVERYONE IN THE ROOM. look at the back of the pic. shiiiit.

I think Turok actually has no connection to Amon, but rather, plans the exact opposite of what Amon has. Amon want’s equality and bending to disappear. Turock wants benders to be dominant over non benders and maybe even go further than that (maybe he wants to spark another war ala Fire Nation). Regardless, blood bending is pretty damn scary. I wonder how far they can take it. I know it’s a kids show, but do you think they can actually rip the blood from their victims own body?

Amon is Stalin

Tarlok is McCarthy

There ya go.

Awesome action, some of the best I’ve seen in both series of the show.

Like Water types in Pokemon, Water benders have proven to be just as overpowered as an element.

Tarrlok keeping The Avatar alive might have something to do with further plans, or maybe TV G storytelling prevents him from trying to off the main character.

I did not expect a episode like this so soon but damn it was good. Personally I never thought bending has gotten weaker and I think this episode helps prove my theory. The bending was pretty top notch and I don’t think I’ve seen any bending as versatile as Tarlock’s even in the original series.

I noticed that Tarrlok’s bloodbending gesticulations are even more intense and violent than Hama’s (and Hama was already filled with lots of anger). I think moonless bloodbending has something to do with an overabundance of intense emotion, maybe specifically rage. It’s probably why Tarrlock is capable of such a technique.

This might be reminiscent of a family feud (e.g. The Hatfields vs The McCoys). Yakone may have used his son Tarrlok as an extension of his own wrath, and while Tarrlok has found his own path, his rage still syncs with his fathers. Amon’s past story may actually be real after all, but not in the exact way. His family may have been a casualty of the Bloodbending Gang and he instead mentioned Firebending to lure Tarrlok (or anyone with higher knowledge) of his identity.

I seriously hope in the flashback Yakone isn’t being helped by his ā€œgangā€, I would be so cool to see a bloodbender who didn’t need to even move to execute such a powerful technique.

This story has actually started to raise an eyebrow or two. Avatar is getting fun again!

IMPOTENCE BENDING!

Avatar is seriously one of the best shows on TV right now. What makes it very interesting is the idea that we don’t really have a definitive bad guy.
Amon is just defending non-benders. Tarlok is just defending benders. Korra is stuck in the middle trying to figure out which side is right.

Spoiler

No sides are right

Now I’m just waiting for Tenzin to go nuts, ala how Chief Beifong was all spiderman/kratos-esque in her fighting style. He’s gotta have some higher-level air bending at this point- maybe weather bending or suffocating his opponents.
