Episode 4
I wonder what the representative meant when he said Aang took care of that one guy. It sounded like Aang might have killed someone, but I’m guessing he just threw him in jail or something.
PM episode 4 link please.
Same here please. Feeling lazy at the moment.
Great ep, Asami is new Azula calling it now.
Episode 4: DAT FLASHBACK! Ohhh man! It is times like this that I want to try to not watch this show for a couple of weeks so that I can watch it all in one blast. Now I’m thirsty for more… FUUUUU!!!
Yeah I got the same vibe here. I think she will turn out to be very spoiled and sorta crazy character if she sees some kind o affection between korra and mako.
another great episode. its difficult for any animated series of any scale to have this much conistency from a production and animation perspective, and they’re sustaining this run very well. slow paced sections are used effectively, action scenes are beautiful to behold, the tense situations feel heavy… every episode has a good flow to it, and never feels like its too fast or that it drags on too long. I had high hopes, and this series has surpassed them all.
Fire Nation skin and hair with Earthbender Eyes.
What if she is half avatar?
Damn, I completely forgot about this. When is it coming on again?
amon did the whole evil villian thing
“i could kill you now but i will kill you later because i have a plan that will kill you anyways!”
i was like “NO YOU FUCKING MORON KILL HER NOW”
also asami fine as hell.
He actually had a legetimate reason though. If he did take her powers, it would have encouraged all of the nations benders to group up and retaliate. It sounds like he’s not ready for that kind of attention just yet.
gasp Dat bitch got the Pantene Hair ™!!
Things like this make me -_- ( squint my eyes like that). It is a kids cartoon, people will claim that it is a kids cartoon when complaining about its simplicity yet a grown man cannot understand the reasoning behinds actions when they were explicitly stated.
yeah that the only reason im not gonna harp on it. i mean alot of benders vs a few hundrend humans don’t sound like a good fight for him.
i know that but that don’t mean i can’t acknowledge the logic behind it. i know its a kids cartoon i seen this shit multiple times
It’s more the fact that he has to crush her reputation before he can get away with taking away her bending. He needs people to see her as a punished tyrant, not a martyr.
@SixMachine: She actually looks like your typical Native American old woman in that picture. I am impressed.
I could see Amon waiting until Korra has access to the avatar state to end the line of avatars.
Sup guys, got a crazy theory that I’m going to share just in case I’m right so I can prove it.
Alright guys it’s crazy theory/probably just fanfiction time
OK so everyone’s flipping the fuck out on how Asami is moving in on Korra’s man which is pretty much bull shit
Because of this they are missing the most damning thing Asami said the whole episode
You don’t say this in fiction. People who say that they feel safe always have something horrible happen to them. Asami is the daughter of one of the wealthiest men in Republic City, who also happens to be one of the more influential non-benders in the world on account of his vast corporate empire.
Alright so this is where the crackpot theorizing comes in. Some nasty bender gets it into his head that kidnapping Asami would be a really great idea. I’ll get to why later. So this guy kidnaps Asami, abuses her because he’s an asshole, Korra and the gang (or maybe just Mako? I dunno, it doesn’t really matter in the long run if Korra decides to participate) rescue Asami, the kidnapper is arrested, everything seems all fine and dandy.
But then Amon gets on the radio and says that the man should be punished for his crimes by having his bending revoked. Obviously the bending establishment would never even think about letting Amon do it; however, Amon’s little ploy (he was behind the kidnapping in case you can’t tell) forces the populace to think about whether or not a world where benders can lose their bending for abusing it might actually be pretty great. Asami being close enough to one of Korra’s friends that he may begin to think Amon has a point? Well that’s just gravy.
I think my main issue with my own theory is that it doesn’t do anything to prevent Asami from being relegated to a plot device. I’m still not quite sure what I would do about that.
