Fuck, I have to find the episode to watch somewhere else, then. I can’t watch Korra because I’m at work every Saturday until 12.
pretty heavy episode. the fight scenes were amazing. setting the bar amazingly high with animationfor a TV cartoon.
Great third episode
[spoiler=]I’m on the camp of Bumi being Amon as well. A descent of the Avatar would be the only one to know that one can take bending away. Possibly figure out how to learn it as well. I doubt that Amon thought his plan through. Who will power the city if the firebenders go away?[/spoiler]
[details=Spoiler]Very nice episode, I like how mako worked at a power plant using lightning to give the plant electricity. Cute touch. Hopefully the gang war that was hinted at in this episode comes to fruition down the line, the gangs had some cool names(triple threat triads, agni kais and I can’t remember the third) but the equalists showed they were nothing to mess with, the chase scene was pretty dope and the fights were all equally awesome.
Plus the revelation bout amon’s energy bending was quite the surprise, Im really looking forward to seeing what exactly transpired, whether he actually did energy bend or if it was all a hoax. And if its the former, how exactly a spirit decided to teach this unpure homeboy such a rare art. With that said, I like how he is presented as an understandable villain and not just a mustache twirling “take over the world” type hommie. I hope they keep running with the “one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter” routine.[/details]
I have to wonder how much Korra could bench press. She consistently throws grown men around like nothing.
So…Mako is basically Batman.
And Amon is fucking crazy awesome.
All the fight scenes have been absolutely breath taking.
Aang cheated on Kitara and had another kid he never knew about. That’s my thought.
no. quit being stupid.
not trick wushu but the sport of tricking, they actually went out and hired people who do tricking, heres a lil doc on the sport:

No, I like being stupid.
More seriously, Amon is either:
Ty Lee’s descendant, who perfected her art to emulate energybending, or
A descendant of Aang who can’t do any bending except energybending?
I really want his story to be fake it’s plain stupid.
[details=Spoiler]I think that Korra will lose the challenge and be striped from all elements and then she’ll start relearning them starting by air
The way Korra yanked and lifted that dude (dude was scrawny, but had to weigh between 100-120lbs) one handed…wow. I might be imagining this, but I’d swear I read something about fire-benders having enhanced strength a couple years ago…
I always figured if any bender had enhanced strength it would be Earth benders. Korra just seems to be especially strong, period, though. She’s been kicking down doors, tossing people around, she picked up Tenzin and all his kids, and look how far she sent Mako by simply throwing a training ball at him. I wonder if they’ll ever officially address her strength. It seems she’s still regular height for a girl though, not like Avatar Kyoshi who was actually ridiculously tall and she had the “largest feet of any Avatar/”
:V
to be fair alot of female judo chicks look average/normal and tossin dudes around left n right. ronda rousey a bronze metalist looked pretty normal and is believed to be one of the strongest females in mma…she doesnt look freakish at all. like if i saw her on the street i might think shes athletic but not a world champion fighter.
Not possible for Amon to be Bumi (Aang and Katara’s non-bender son).
Amon said his parents were both non-benders. Aang and Katara are both benders.
Edit:
People seem think that Ty Lee’s way of chi blocking shares some parallel to energybending. It doesn’t.
Chi-blocking is a way of fighting such that the practitioner strikes at pressure points that merely interrupts the flow of energy in one’s body for a short period.
Energybending, existed long before the avatar’s exisitence and longer than the other 4 bending of elements themselves. Energybending directly bends the energy within a person, thus you can take away someone’s bending permanently or potentially instill the ability in them.
Comparing chi-blocking to energybending is like comparing medicine to surgery.
btw…shouts out to DAT BUDGET. hahhaa nigga’s aignt just randomly doing flips…they do gymnastic round offs and all this extra detail thats crazy.
This new episode was intriguing
Korra
Spoiler
I know this anti-bending seems to bring about a lot of questions especially if this guy is claiming to be a non-benderm but I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually was a bender with a grudge against benders. His anti-bend thing seemed like a hoax to me or just temporary. Korra was so quick to believe it when the guy failed bending for like a few seconds. When Aang originally did it there was that whole special effects and light show. All this guy did was just hold this guys head back and made him look into the light.
btw did anyone pick up on the fact that bending=religion in this world. i noticed them talking about bending being the reason for every war in their world.
My theory on the whole anti-bending is
anti
Spoiler
He used pressure points. The way he held the guy’s head up, it looked like he was pushing down on the middle of his forehead with his thumb. So it seems like to permanently stop bending, he pretty much has to get his hands on you.
Overall this episode was great. Especially seeing Mako and Bolin finally fight outside of pro bending.
