Avatar Fighter Online

Twin Orbs does not beat Star. Star always absorb both hits, and can still beat it when close.

You won 5 total matches out of how many? Nobody’s going to win every single match. If you won half the matches, then your point would be made. Since ALL you did was spam it to death, you didn’t win much. It didn’t change anything in the long run. You could potentially change to any moveset and steal a win or two while the opponent adjusts.

When in close with star you can’t go toe to toe with Twin orbs because you either will get hit by one or Twin orbs will beat you because its faster…Best and only option is to block and then throw Star. The advantage with Twin orb is whether you close or far out it’s reliable.

Really wanted to discuss particular movesets in this game. Moves on the offensive side (non - projectile moves). How would you guys rate which ones are best. I like how good Headbutt and Rushing Combo are on opening people up.

Rushing Headbutt is good but its not as reliable because of the big window for punishment. Rushing combo I love but depending on the move set your opponent have it can become useless.

So, you’re going to leave after a short set, like you did something? Then again, you did celebrate winning 5 of 30ish matches before. Take what you can get.

I’ll give you those games. I see the weakness of Cyndi/Star - the motion. Charging doesnt help trying to get someone in the corner. I will rate it below Orbs because of that. And as to the 2 custom VS custom matches. You made and customized a moveset to combat mine specifically, which is fine. But to leave after winning like 2 against mine…really classy. You know if that set would have continued like they do, I would win like 30+ to your 10 or less, like it has been since the game’s been out.

And since I’m calling you out, I’m going to add this; everytime I beat you in a lobby, and it “somehow” freezes or kicks to the end of the line, while YOU’RE somehow playing the next match…what is that shit?

I dont even want to sound like this, but even all those wins in the past, were mainly all Bill and Ryan, I barely ever used my custom, even on Yadamon until everybody started jocking Iceball after it was introduced.

I havent changed my custom since the game’s been out, and I will not. It may take a match or two for me to get used to someone changing their moves, but I will, and I will win. Like it always is. Even if they arent optimized for the match, they are good enough for anything, and I also wont change my avatar’s size, which gives you a big footsie/overhead/grab advantage, I dont care, cause you will still lose.

I wouldnt have even gone into this if werent trying to act as if you’ve done something. Our next set = recorded, and I’m calling 4:1 or better, and I wont use any regular characters like I did today.

Get hype.

FT5? When’s the lobby gonna be up? Yall gonna have mics or something?

I left because I got an invite to play Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD…Plus I did not feel like playing cat and mouse with cheesy Twin Orbs run away.

I told you and I quote this form the get go…On this very forum too that Twin Orbs are way to OP. When I started Playing I used Rushing Combo and Headbutt. Yadamon and Demonbiz were the top players and they use Twin Orbs with Fireball and played a great keep away game…CHEAP. That was EXTREMELY cheap. But I figure out that nothing can really stand with that combination of move set if you are a great player or even a subpar one. Thus, the only option I had was to play a great mind game but it’s nearly impossible against Yadamon.

Twin orbs beats all projectiles in the game and 90% of the move sets. Star cant go toe to toe with twin orbs (not fast enough). The only way to combat TO is to find out moves frames that are faster than it…In comes Trust Kick.

I won because I got use to spamming orbs faster…Twin Orbs needs to be slower and have a better punish window…A move that powerful shouldn’t be that fast IMO. Or add moves that can beat it. Yadamon is smart “the only way to beat and OP move is with an OP move”. Just Saying.

Oh and I forgot to state don’t spam Iceball mindlessly or it will backfire. If someone intentionally gets frozen, you might accidentally throw another freezing you and give them a free combo.

Yeah you can not spam freeze ball continuously because of the consequences you will suffer. This is why freeze ball is not OP and why it is second on my list…Twin orbs however have no consequences against other projectiles unless the game glitch and your projectile gets through. Example: When freeze ball only gets through by destroying only one orbs.

Looked at this today, and seemed ok. Right when blocking I couldn’t throw or attack.

You can do it during the Orb Super. Or maybe I’m confusing it with Block Animation.

Ramdon Fight

Sometimes, when I play online, the timer just get stuck on 99 sec for the whole round.

PD: Would be nice to have an option to save matches :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s been happening to me also where at times where the timer stays at 99.

Yes, yes, yes…An option to save the matches would be sweet because sometimes I get some good matches I want to put on Youtube.

Upgrades I want I see:

another stage + day/night versions
lfighting/badass gear as alt outfits for the original characters
new poses for Ryan/Jimmy/Bill styles
Maybe a rekka type move

But offline too!

And yes a Rekka move would be cool!

You guys, saving matches is a really hard feature to add. I love the game where it is, but Mr.Brian, would you take ideas for moves to add in?

Oh, and if he was to add in a replay feature, it would most likely be the type of replay that just replays the inputs from a match, and not a replay that saves it as a video file.

I agree that’s why I didn’t ask. I’m sure he’s working on something for the next patch. I got my gold back, who wants to play?

I would love too, but I’m on a trip right now (and have been for a while), but I’ve been dying to play you/wanting to play you. We should play when I get back next week.
And when I think more and more about it, combo maker is probably the super with the most untapped potential.
Oh, and one thing I would change about the game, is that the first hit of Ryan’s over head hits high. It makes it kind of predictable if your opponent knows the moveset of the character.
