And yes, you can throw people in blockstun during the orb super.

I haven’t been playing lately due to the lack of a gold account. But usually I play with Stryfeno, Janks, and Diego. Ryan’s overhead is probably the only overhead I know that combos well. But Mike’s Overhead is one where you want to go if you want to really mixup.

Well, you can actually combo after mike or alex’s overhead (one person in a match I was Fighting against was doing that-it was pretty impressive, and I tried itout, butI could only do it when playing as alex).
And the main reason I use ryan’s style is so I have a special cancellable standing heavy punch, it’s great for pressure. And am I the only person who mainly uses the thrust kick?
And I started playing with them shortly after I got the game (and when I was able to contact them). I don’t know if I’ve played diego though.

I was also thinking about ways to get this game more attention among some of the more “higher-ups” in the fighting game community. It really is a good game, and it would be nice for it to start getting some attention, it really deserves it.

I know Mike’s overhead combo’s, it just doesn’t do it as well as Ryan’s. Thrust Kick is actually really good, but I like Flying Kick better since it leads to better damaging combos and guarantees oki. Thrust Kick is more of a GTFO me move, hits the opponent far. Usually I use it as an ender for my combos since it does damage. Diego is actually FaceMeBroken.

Thrusts Kicks are definitely a gtfo move. You can actually combo into them twice ifyou do a HK then a LK one very fast. It’s also great for after a full combo into the corner, because the pushback will just barely not effect it enough so you can get some extra damage.
FaceMeBroken? I might’ve played him, it’s been a while.
One thing I dislike is how hard it is to jump over Iceballs when Figthing a tall avatar-the timing is ridiculous.
And to give this game praise, I love how fast you can get into an online match. It’s so fast, and it also loads fast after a match (the instant rematch button is awesome).
I dislike flying kicks, mostly because they’re annoying as all heck, and because I simply just prefer the thrust kick. Thrust kick are REALLY safe on block, by the way, you have to be practically spot on to get the timing for it. It is a great pressure tool, too. Underrated move in my opinion.

Hello, been messing around with streaming stuff… http://www.twitch.tv/mrbrianxyz/b/326254398
Mostly just me getting beat up in the corner alot. I like to try and trap people with meteor + super throw, but the first 2 guys didn’t have much problem with it.

I haven’t done that much on a patch still, mostly trying to get a new game started but haven’t made much progress there either :stuck_out_tongue:
You can list move suggestions and I’ll think about it

If the timer is stuck on 99 i think it’s the game host probably has timer disabled? And rolling kick hits low at first

Well, as of move suggesetions, I have this:
Possibly a Q-like command garb from Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike (a command grab that hits the opponent up into the air so you can combo after it). However, you already have a super throw. But, you could give it alot of startup to make it hard to see coming… and give it an anti air version. I’m also just a fan of command grabs you can combo after, so yeah, haha. lol.
A Flash kick would be interesting, there would be very cool combos that could be bases off of that.
A raging demon super (which you said you had been thinking about adding) would be interesting- the unblockables you could set that up with haha.
A Yun-Like palm move.
Rekkas COULD BE interesting, and I would like to see how they would work in game.
See, it’shard to think up new moves, becausey ou already have a great set of them haha. Not to mention each special move is useful, and it’s nice to see how different specials go together.
And I would say add an option where you could record your own voice for your character, but that would probably result in people making their character shout obsanities everytime they fire a fireball or something, lol. I’ll write some more ideas when I get them (I had a list, but I forgot them all. :|)
Thanks for making this game btw, Mr Brian.

Also, as a balance-thing, could the time for freezeballs keeping someone in place be shortened? Even though I use iceball/freezeball, the amount of time it keeps people from is a little too long. And meteor could use a slight buff- it’s really easy to dodge it. The moment someone throws it you, and even a little bit after they throw it, you can just walk forward and dodge it.

Didn’t I do that to you once? lol haha

I think Rolling Kick hits low then mid. That may be the case of not being able to block it. About the orbs issue, I say its not as hard as it was in previous betas. I have no problem with getting in on orbs. I just jump over orbs or block and dash in. Orbs zoning is the defensive approach to this game, not everyone plays an aggressive style.

I’ve never really played against anyone who uses rolling kick, but I’ll check it out soon.
And getting past the orbs can be difficult-you can use the fake out teleport to get in easier (super throw + teleport are actually a really good combination). You can jump over them, but the timing is hard. Also, you can use the ground super to knock them up and that’ll give you a chance to get in.
ALso, I’ve had a glitch with the throwing animation where I have had the person throwing me be on the right as I am thrown on the left (both characters were in the wrong spot- we were swapped). This has happened twice-has anyone else encountered this glitch? It doesn’t actually break the game or anything, it’s just kind of weird, that’s all.
Edit: I think the first hit does hit low, that’s right. I remember being hit by that, in the middle of a match, and it confused me.

That throw glitch has happened to me before also. I may have something to do with the corner being there.

There’s also a weird glitch where if you grab someone as they wakeup super, it will cancel out the grab animation and let the super hit.

I think that’s just the invincibility frames on the super beating out the throw, for example pounce will probably go through the grabbing animation. And yeah it has something to do with the corner being there-I still don’t know how it is triggered, though.
I’ve also had a lobby glitch where I was trying to connect to Mr Janks’s lobby, but it wouldn’t let me because of an error (I forgot what it said). But other people could join the lobby. But later, we could connect. This happens with me and certain opponents, but I think it’s either just a network issue.

I had a feeling it was just me grabbing them as the invincibility starts to kick in during the super. I think there are hurtboxes on the grab animation, causing me to get hit out of my throw. This has happen several times when me and Stryfeno play.

The throw definitely has hurtboxes on it, and the throw doesn’t beat out the super’s invincibility, so that probably explains it.
Also, freezeball + shouldertackle are a really deadly combination for combos. Actually, with alex, you can do an extremely easy 26-30% by just doing an uppercut -> shoulder ram -> throw. It’s crazy.

Well I just bodied everyone in my daily lobby today. Looks like everyone likes using freeze ball. I came up with a 40% Freezeball combo using 5 launches. Corner Carries too

Yeah, I usually body everybody until Janks comes in. Then it gets real. >:)
As of freezeball combos, I just do the basic crLP crHP dash-> lp -> freezeball -> uppercut -> dash -> jab -> uppercut -> dash -> lp -> thrust kick usually. nets me 26-30-36% damage-wise, yeah. and if I sometimes land it so the opponent is frozen high enough, I can do the double upppercut. I still can’t figure out the exact timing for that, though.
What’s the input for five launchers? /What’s the combo for it?

My freezeball combo:
crLP crHP dash LP crHP dash LP xx HP freezeball LP cr.HP dash LP cr.HP dash LP loop into Rising Kick jc loop

For some reason, with mya vatar, i can’t get the second dash lp uppercut. Maybe I’ll just have to practice the timing. Wait, by xx do you mean wait and do the second uppercut, or a just a normal hp/just a normal heavypunch?
Thanks though, I’ll check it out when I get home.
