I really like this one, but I’m looking at it from the point of view of an ad. Best use of color for the stills. The editing is top notch but the words make it seem like there’s too much going on. If the wording were trimmed down it would probably have taken #1.

Although there’s not as much sprite manipulation as some of the others, I think this one REALLy captured the essence of a CK ad. I almost forgot we were judging avs and not full ads after seeing this one.

I love the work put into this, but I had a really hard time tiering it just because it’s so inside. If you don’t know about FF, you’ll never understand this ad in the slightest where as the rest just require a little bit of knowledge on the product.

Great work, everyone. Here are my thoughts on the entries:
Dark Giyas’s Swiffer avatar was awesome, the final frame is just too funny with Urien posing and holding the swiffer like that. Ken looks a bit unnatural as he’s eing beat to a bloody pulp, but it doesn’t really detract from the overall look much.
Nice work on the Secret animation, givequicheachance. Bridget just looks hilariously cute holding up the deodorant bar and then applying it. The conclusion is a bit odd, but amusing nonetheless.
I loved Think Easier because of how strange the idea is, but it all works somehow. It’s not as over-the-top as Swiffer or Secret, but is very well composed and animated, and the concept manages to be just as amusing.
Aegis was wonderful, a perfect imitation of the Klein ad style, and the Urien/Aegis theme fits in seamlessly and humorously.
I’m not familiar with any of the Final Fantasy games, so some of the humor in Coming Near You is probably lost on me, but the animation is nice. The characters being sucked into a giant GBA is good concept. You Spoony Bard!
Duc Do King… another one whose greater significance is completely lost on me… but the editing and composition are very good.
Hanes: Great slogan choice, cute butt. But the balance seems kinda off, and I don’t really care for the background.
Just Parry It: Great concept, but the execution could use a little work… the animation seems rather quick and jerky, and the transition from Ken’s arm to the Nike swish is a little awkward. The background and sprites go together well.

DG had a good idea for this one. if it wasnt for it being a sprite instead of a actual model you’d think it’s a ad in a magazine. the only error i noticed was the the Calvin Klein logo. it’s all fuzzy. not a whole lot that should be changed other than that. also, if this item was real i’d never wear it cuz it seems like it would smell like feet and old cabbage, yeck. lol, good work DG.

for some reason i thought maybe OC did this but meh. the part were Slayer is showing the diffrent rates is what i didnt like because i couldnt read any of it. also, the “think easier” text that was used was bleh. i think he made it italic and it just didnt look as good as the progressive logo. good work Zandwich.

HAHA i laughed out loud on this one too! i loved they way you made the character hit the gba with the slash marks and have the 0 hitpoints coming out. that was so well done. But the part i loved the most was the timing on the text when Kain revealed what he has done HAHA i love this one!

I loved how u got the broom in his hand and the animation for sweeping was just perfect. i really need to learn how to edit sprites (like making ken a bloody pulp and getting the broom into the sprite), so i’m so impressed how you did it.
#3 Strong Enough for a Man
The End was pretty weird but i really liked the idea. I loved the text when she said Oh Noes hahah and when she was putting the Secret under her armpit. Overall though blowing out her period was just too much haha funny though.
Think Easier
This stuck to the guidelines the best however one of it was to be funny. It was really creative, having him advertise progressive and the ending logo was dead on. But it was seriously like a real commercial haha maybe it was too good at doing the job.
DucDo King-I made this thinking about Duc winning the MVC2 tourney so thinking it would be fresh in ppl’s minds. The studiotraffic thing i just got from reading GD. I don’t know him at all and i hope that didn’t offend him. I was just stating he’s the king right now with his spiral holding up a check for 10 k on top of a hill… what could top that?
Just Parry It- I think i got the idea from Random? maybe…i once saw it as someone’s avatar but just a still image with the nike logo on it. I thought it might be fun to do the daigo vs wong match in Gem form. I wish i had a lot more KB to work with cause initially i wanted background throughout the animation and have more parries… I had just the Arm there at the end to subsitute the nike logo but after going to giygas for some opinions, he said make it morph into the nike logo. It looked much better that way (thx giygas) even though i didn’t morph it correctly (still learning).
Thx again for having this battle again quiche…this is making work go by much quicker and i’m learning shit in the process… It’s also damn fun~ thx for helping me with learning photoshop/IR and hope i can improve to get on the level with you other cats.
