b). I had only been playing her for one week when that match happened.
c). You’re claiming Brad S. was sandbagging against me? I doubt it since from what Larry said, he had some kind of beef with me and wanted to play me.
d). I already said I lose to Cable scrubs. I don’t have a lot of experience against them because Cali has very few Cable scrubs.

If you ever do anything that requires any skill at all, and that actually wins outside of Austin (read: You would get your ass handed to you in Cali, Seattle, Houston, or anyplace where people actually know how to play the game), then maybe I won’t consider you a scrub.

I lost the match but Spiral did kill your Cable, which was her job. It was either against you or Qui, I don’t remember. And wow, you’re betting you can beat a character of mine that I’ve hardly ever played? <applauds sarcastically> Wow dude, props if you can. :rolleyes: :mad:

Hey Larry we still having a tourney this weekend?
carney brad: David just moved to austin from N.O and he never talks on srk. He’s difinitely an msp whore. I also do play msp but I have much trouble on lakeline sticks. Having trouble there discourages me to practice and therefore when I wing my “cool combos” and such, I fuck up. Therefore I’m even more discouraged to play and then i decide to just wing my storm/sentinel when cool events like regionals or txs comes around. I do have sticks, which allowed me to learn magneto, (the secret to learning mag is spend an hr with him in training mode and now hes ready for a tourney), but I play so little that I leave them at a friends place. This is all because I’m discouraged by austin mvc2 joystick quality and probably also my laziness.

Can you please try to make it more understandable? I hope understandable is a real word. Like larry, I have an excuse for my poor spelling, I am FOB!!! I don’t think Austin’s problem that everyone plays cable. When people think of Austin’s mvc2 they think of just cable whores. But that comes a long way. John Minco really dominated austin with his cable/bh. John is out of practice but I know everyone remembers when he wasn’t. (Well carney brad aka “white brad” or aka “big brad” or aka “cable brad” probably doesn’t know about him). Most of the austin guys learn everything from him. John would give advice and everyone would pick up something new from him. To make the long story short, he taught austin mvc2. The game has changed much since then, but cable is still very good. blackheart on the other hand is not a strong character. The only way to lose to blackheart (unless he does an incredible amounts of chip) is to beat yourself. Trying to do too much then you run into demons and takes off 70%. Again its very easy to do “too much” on lakeline sticks. So blackheart does very well. So this reinforces people to keep blackheart on their team. I know austin players have thought to drop blackheart cause they have trouble producing offense but for some reason you just seem to win with him, you decide to stick with him. I think everyone should play teams you really want to play. Play teams you think are good or the most dominate. Austin won’t improve until they play their best and not team that win.
ps. going to houston is always great! i get more practice out of those great sticks than i do with all the lakeline hrs i put in. Competition is great too. Austin needs more get togethers fuck lakeline and the gay ass tournaments.

I completely disagree. Mag takes an hr in the training room and you get a team killing combo. Then you run around and triangle jump and hopefully land a jump rh. Once you accomplish that, you just recall you experience in the training room. Strider, Spiral, and Cable require the most amount of skill to play. (Maybe I rush down too much. Stupid Koreans try to rush down everything, school, cars, girls, and even sex.) The have to zone and trap. Yes jumping back fierce is effective sometimes, but if you want a cable to go beyond the “scrub” level you got to do more. You have to zone out, trap and manage meter (probably not for spiral). Combos are not hard to do, but creating combos is quite different. Sentinel is almost as easy as mag. What move of his isn’t good? He’s fast, heavy, well armored, powerful and has great combos. Land a super jump short and you can take off 50%! Storm is easy too. Her most common move is known as “ahhhh! ahhhh! o yes! more! more!! harder!! harder!!!” Can anyone hit her? hardly, and can anyone beat “ahhh, ahhh” not really. really easy to use. Skill is not defined by the characters you use, its defined in the innovation and improvation (I love making up words!)

Brad: I guess we just have a different definition of a scrub, mine definition of a scrub is someone who ONLY knows one thing about one character that is good and abuses it, he has no other alternatives. For example, a chun li (3S) player who only uses fierce button and wins, even when her fierce sometimes gets parried by the opponent, he still does it all the time because he doesn’t know what to do besides that.
We definitely need to have a tournament this Saturday, I want to play MVC2 again.

Carnevil: besides contradicting yourself about 50 times, i just want to say that you are wrong. A GOOD cable player should have 100% of the team’s damage coming from him and assists. When me and Carlos rolled you with Cable, does that mean our Cable is scrubby? No, it means that you cant make us switch out our cable or kill him. BIG DIFFERENCE. And if you havent noticed, MvC2 is full of so called scrubby tactics. I mean look at Larrys storm. He runs like a homo with her and wins. Everyone knows he could just rush you down, because he DOES know how to do that. But he does what it takes to win (unless he’s playing Dan.) JUST KIDDING LARRY. :lol: I am in no way saying you are dumb, Carnevil. Im just saying your idea of scrubdom is wrong and irrelevant in a game that thrives on it.
