Damn Robert, so fast. I am going to SA this Sunday, I want to play Anvrin and try to play well at least in a tournament for once. I want to play some games before I go but don’t really want to spend $10 for WW tomorrow, does anyone want to play some games Thursday afternoon/night?

Me, I put him in losers 2-0 then winners finals I beat him 3-1. GG, to brad btw. I don’t know If am joining these up coming san pedro tournies…1 out of 1 is bullshit even 2 out of 3 no losers is bullshit so I dunno…only reason I did join was #1 it was in fact 2 out 3 winners and losers, #2 I told anvrin I’d make sure he wouldn’t win a tournament here put him in losers 2-1. Anyways I’ll definitely be there on sunday whether I’ll watch or play I dunno, I’m leaning towards watching right now.
Derrel beat me both matches I lost in tourney. I didn’t play well for the most part but no one showed up so I got second anyway. I couldn’t keep Derrels magneto off me and I kept doing inferno w/o HOD or vice versa and I had alot of tiger knee fierce beams and ground HVBs. All in all I guess it wasn’t a wasted trip but I certianly need to practice more b/c my execution is not what it used to be. Highlight of tourney would have to be Jimmy takin out joe b/c he is stupid and his mind wanders. The whole time they were playin I could hear jimmy sayin “I hate this *%#@ game”.
Some of yall should have come to tourney and not flaked out. I specifically remember larry saying he was going. I won’t be going to the one this weekend, I am going to houston. Hopefully I can catch a few games at the SG.
Anyway, I met a guy at LL on tuesday that will be attending UT in the fall from houston. He is a very good player that has his combos with mag down so ya’ll better learn to mash. He said he played at SG a little and knew about this forum so hopefully he will post up and will come to next gathering. I feel sorry for him coming from houston to this wasteland of no comp and no good arcade. I didn’t catch his name but Kantele was there so maybe he remembers it.
I can go to LL thursday around 3:30 if anyone cares. I will not be giving 10 bucks to LL tonight. I played for 3 hours last night for 2 bucks and that was about as long as I wanted to stay.
EDIT: Robert: the lakers play at 7:30 on sunday. There sure seems to be alot of lakers fans that live in texas. Can anyone say band wagon?

As far as being like everyone else i was a laker fan ever since kobe was on the team. He is the only reason why i like the lakers. If goes to another team then i will go for the team he went to.

Double Elimination, 1 match format.
We have phased out the entry fee format because it seems that there was a lot of people who felt that they were wasting their money on a game they will never win at. So as a result, all tournaments will be Free Entry. Regional tournaments do not apply, and will follow the same rules as it always has.
Weeklys will continue until the July 6-7 SG Regional, then continue on until the week before Evolution.
I was going to go but SRK was in such a disarray I didn’t know if the tournament is still going on, I didn’t think any of Austin guys would go because none of you said anything about going to SA. I will meet you there Thursday afternoon, I’m not going tonight as well, too expensive.
Robert: I’m sure Brad had Cyclops if he was playing his BH/Cable/AAA team, no one goes with that team as well as Cyclops does. He probably lost because getting ground HVB and tiger knee beams are not so good in a Cable vs Cable fight.
I’m ready to mash, I just need somebody who can do that combo consistently so I can get the timing down, it’s one of those things where once you got it, you got it forever.
As for the bandwagon thing, I was a Bulls fan in the 90s because of the players, I’m a Jordan fan, just like I’m a Kobe fan, I don’t think I watched a game where the reason was a particular team was playing, maybe in baseball but not in NBA.
I’ll be going to the S.A. tourney this weekend if i can afford it. If i can’t i will let you know.

I used capcom cyclops and ken. It was just bad timing on my part. Most of the games I just didn’t hit the assist button at the correct time. I was in block stun or somethin and I would hit again and by then I was out of position and it was too late. A good magz gives you a very short window of when you can assist effectively. The main reason I lost though was I was burning meter to kill magz so my cable was left with none where as derrels would come in with 4-5. The team he beat me with was Mag-cable-Sent. I would normally have thought I would smoke this team. My BH traditionally does very well against mag leaving cable to try and keep BH from constantly sjing away building meter for my cable. But it didn’t happen. A main reason for losing 2 games was me not doing AHVB. I had 3 meters and a chance to kill cable with one with 2 left for sentinel and I got tiger knee regular beam. He air hypered me and I lost. That is what it boiled down to more than anything. Execution. If I execute I don’t think magz touches BH. If I execute I AHVB and I am the one going home with the 8 bucks not derrel. People complained about the sticks but I wasn’t one of them. Derrel had very good execution on them so all the rest of us should have too.
The guy from cali is pretty good but seems to have the same problem as me with the execution. I guess he is spoiled on good sticks. I wish we had a place that would spoil us.
About the basketball, I was just sayin my opinion. Austin has no pro team so root for whoever you want. It just seems convenient the dynasty teams have a shit load of fans. I am a cowboys fan. I was a fan when they won the superbowl in 92,93,95 and last year when they sucked ass. I don’t care who you root for as long as it is consistant.
I am a cowboys fan myself and have been for since the danny white days but i don’t say much about them cause they have been sucking it up lately. I hope they do better next year. I think they need to work on some good draft picks. Maybe a quaterback?

Cowboys had a great draft I agree. But until they get someone that can throw the damn ball and get widerecievers that aren’t a bunch of fairy chinadolls they ain’t doin better than 8-8. Defense is great but you have to score points to win.

Since you’re such a social butterfly, if one of one is bullshit, feel free to hold your own 2 out of 3 or 4 out of 7 or 13 out of 25 or whatever you want tournaments; if you give me the full results I’ll put them on APEX. I’m not going to spend all day every Sunday for a month in the arcade. These tournaments are getting held weekly because of Anvrin. They will not be weekly when he leaves. My opinion is that two out of three single elim AND one out of one double elim are both shitty formats. But these are weekly tournaments. No reason to go for a full-format tournament every…single…week when SA doesn’t even have a player base to support it or care. As for picking between the two, I am going with one of one double elim since it gives people the opportunity to play more people. People won’t be out right away just because they got bracketed with someone they can’t beat or whatever, they have another shot. Besides, what ISN’T bullshit to you? Besides part 2: it wasn’t even one of one Sunday, it was full format. If the turnouts remain small or I’m feeling frisky it will remain full format. I just want people to EXPECT one of one so that if it does end up that way it’s not some big surprise.

Antonio Bryant will give them a non-pussified receiver and Galloway and Ismail are not bad at all.I think Quincy Carter has a lot of upside. Just couldn’t see it cause he spent most of last season injured. And once Emmitt retires, Troy Hambrick is Pro Bowl material. All they really need is a tight end…I don’t even know who their starter is.

Brad: Sounds like you just had a bad day, I always thought BH was a hard match up against Mag because the amount of stuff he can throw at you is just insane. Maybe you can go play in SG’s weeklys and see how you do with very good sticks.
