Iām a little disappointed when weāre not welcoming to new players. UFO is an open community and as a business we depend on friendliness and hospitality. Letās not shut people out for the wrong reasons, otherwise one day your arcade will disappear. You already scared away some people in this thread who were interested and itās really not cool nor funny.

Thanks for posting this. Last few times Iāve went to UFO Iāve noticed some elitist behavior and things seem a lot more cliquey than they used to be. Kinda screws up the mood when people are being wack. I cant imagine how bad its gotten since its spilled over to the forums.

Yeah I hope to play it too, but Iām not sure it would be the best investment for UFO. I donāt recall the last KOF doing that well in the arcade. If only there was some way Fubar could rent it and see if itās gonna be popular here before he spends the cash to import it =P.

I get that youāre not sorry, and that you feel like you have the right to make fun of people you donāt know on a public forum, but do you at least get the part where when you alienate new people from your hang-out of choice, it will stop making money and cease to exist? There are plenty of places to joke around with friends that arenāt forums anyone can read.
I was just like you 8 years ago or so. Bratty, a dick to people I thought were scrubs, and over the years less and less people played the games I wanted to play and went to my favorite arcade, Einsteinās. Then it closed. Donāt make the same mistake.

Just to give everyone a heads-up on KOF13: we didnāt pre-order the game so it isnāt getting here any time soon. I thought a lot about it, and I wanted to wait until I could get some impressions from the Japanese boards and from Youtube/forum comments from people who get to play it first. In fact, the two companies we always order new arcade games from didnāt even offer the game for sale.
I do think the game deserves a chance if it genuinely ends up good, and of course weāll get a copy if I believe it to be a justified purchase.

Poonage is right on the money-- 5,6,7 years ago in austin it was 50-50 (maybe majority scumbags) when it came to elitist fighting game playersāruined local tournaments and einsteins for me. oh and I went to UFO the weekend of EVO for the first time( I know it was the wrong weekend to go) but it was great

You should come back more! I think UFO is always a great time and I donāt think you will experience to much elitism. In fact, most the top players at the arcade seem to be really nice guys.
