What about the DC version of 2k2?
DC version of 2k2 is the best port out right now still to this day…
actually, its still ass. but its nice ass, not dingleberry putrid filled ass like PS2 ver
Yes he’s right…Arcade is still much much better…so 2k2 Rebout will be nice…when it comes out.
And also about allowing the console characters in NeoWave, Angel and May Lee etc are not as powerful as they are in 2k2…I can literally prove that if you want…
I have written stuff about it in the NeoWave thread also. Sure they have all their stuff but they take more work in NeoWave to win with (if they didnt take work already you say right? ), and dont get me started on Omega Rugal, hes super weakened believe me…that is unless you include his Guard Break Mode Glitch…
Emulator…although keep it on arcade mode…console mode is stupid…for some reason it’s harder to do moves, I noticed this on the PS2 version and thats why people don’t like it (or at least, why I don’t like it)
Well yeah but if you use console mode even then Riot if the game is the NeoGeo version it is still good to go.
Also I recall back in the day people telling me when I said Young Geese’s Deadly Rave is the best super in the game they were like “That super is overhyped.”
Hahaha…I don’t think they doubt that the super is the best anymore! Name one super in the game better than Young Geese’s Deadly Rave and I will counter why its NOT better for those that still believe that.
As I posted earlier also (In the NeoWave thread surely), Young Geese’s worst matchups are-(Archived)
**Chris-**SC Mode, As Otome showed me, there are many things Chris can do to mess Geese up.
Jhun- In the hands of a master Jhun has an answer for everything Geese has. EVEN DEADLY RAVE.
Leona- I knew this was a bad matchup for Geese BEFORE Otome picked her, thank God, so I adjusted accordingly…she can outzone Geese and take away his air or ground CD with Tiger Knee V-Slasher.
Choi- Not as much a mismatch as people are led to believe anymore…Choi is hard to touch because his jumps are high but when Otome was playing him I knew what Choi was about, and thats frame trap with walk a, try to crossup into super…That made it nigh impossible for him to land it…and all that jumping Deadly Rave took care of so I think Geese surely can win against Choi.
Athena- She CAN be a tough matchup if the Geese player doesnt know the weakness is Deadly Rave stops her from throwing fireballs…
If the Geese doesnt know that the Geese may not even get in on her.
But if he does Athenas basic game is STRIPPED from her…she won’t throw fireballs anymore because she knows Deadly Rave will go right through it. Or she will only throw them when you DON’T have meter.
Saisyu- Saisyu aint so deadly anymore as all he is is a simplified version of KOFXI Gato. He has priority on like everything but Geese still has more. The only way Saisyu wins this match is:
-
If Saisyu has meter and the Geese jumps into Orochinagi which is a half life level one super…in NeoWave that just doesnt happen…damage is toned down overall.
-
Saisyu rushes Geese down Gato style and Geese doesnt know how to handle it.
saisyu is a bit faster than geese but geese has alot more range. however, geese hit boxes are so JACKED in neo wave cause hes such a broken pile that i really dont see either character having an advantage over each other. i think it would come down to the player??
Dark Geese- Other than how the way tam tam looks after he hit you with his command grab, hes a stupid character. what did they do to his voice??
Shin M- I do believe it comes down to the player but as a Young Geese player that’s been playing him since the beginning of NeoWave for PS2 I can tell you certain matchups give him a hard time. You can’t just take what I have posted above and expect to beat my Geese because of what I said lol. You gotta know the matchups etc so yes it does boil down to the player. Overall though there are certain things people should know.
I hate it when people just take shit because someone else says it as gold without experimenting for themselves! :annoy: How the hell you think Tung is A class in NGBC now? I aint sucking no Japanese dick based off their tiers…fuck that…I’m doing my own experimenting! Hence Now Tung is A Class I dont give a fuck what the JAP Tier says this aint Japan…and Young Geese is #2 I dont care if they say Saisyu is better I tell them PROVE IT TO ME. Let’s go head to head single player first to 10 the best Saisyu vs. my Geese…I aint sucking up to some Tier List anymore…we really gotta quit jockriding the Japanese guys!
And besides that in general over time tiers change…unless the game has been played a decade or so then the tiers are pretty set.
Deadly Rave is one long ass super…range wise you all forget that…Otome Yosuke used Yuri and did Jump BACK air fireball and I did Deadly Rave and not only did it go through his fireball (duh) but he got hit by the end of it as I caught him with it.
As far as SST is concerned, they changed practically everyone’s voice. Part of the reason OG’s dont like it…(some at least)
May 5th Vid Update? Lu any update on the vids?
YIKES! im not jockriding and im not a newb.
play neither character on my team…just giving my 2 cents. My team is orochi yashiro/beni/joe. Regardless that match up isnt lop sided for either character. However, geese is an overprioity whore (yes i hate fighting againt geese).
I know this is an odd question but is anything planned early 2008? thats when ill be able to play.
yeah i see why OG samurai shodown fans wouldnt like tenka. I didnt like the game at first also. tam tam sounds really really stupid.
Humbag- come to stl
P.S. why dont you fools just make an IRC chat room or something?
Oh I know you aint jockriding I’m just saying that because I remember at the beginning people said “Because such and such JAP Tier has him as such and such he must be this way.” Or “Well Geese aint that good because in the SBO vids all I see him is losing…:wtf: ” Its to all those people that revere anything Japanese that comes out…they just play more than we do and have access to constant competition that we dont…**END OF STORY. **
Playing Otome Yosuke made me understand that…I was happy I was able to hang and make him sweat since I don’t have access to SBO Level NeoWave competition.
Trust me that was in no way to you…its to people in general that think just because Japanese make a tier “It must be perfect.”
Early 2008 as in when? Final Round XI/EVO South (hopefully) should be around March 2008.
Daimon is my man in KOF NW. His D/f+C is really good and is comboable, and it’s back to the KOF 98 properties, unlike KOF 2001,2002 and 2003. His ukemi roll combos involving the D/f+C can still be abused like in 98. I like the Daimon of NW. Really solid!
Daimon’s best mode IMO is the guard break mode. My fave guard break combo:
qcf+CD->run D/f+C->qcb+B(ukemi roll)->DP+A->hcf+C(grab off the ground). Too awesome.
DG- You don’t need to bring KOF 06 and the SF: AC to our money match this weekend. I bought a copy of 06 today, and I’m having a 48 hr. crash course training for the match. Don’t worry, I’ll be competitive this weekend.
dark geese you mentioned something about the differences between 1p Duck King and 2p Duck King in the SC tourney thread. What are the differences and if possible do you have a link to a video(s) that show this?
Thanks man!
DG- yeah its all good. no earlier than that. i should be done with toher shit so i can actually play games. well play in tournies.
For Duck King I think the difference is that the stand and duck A have 1 frame less of recovery on the 2p side…
Was that fixed in arrange mode- and if so, why won’t people use it? I’ve never gotten why we’re so accepting of bugs since we mostly play on console instead of arcade.
About 2p Duck King…oh boy…shall I allow Cajunstrike to fully explain the differences since he uses him? And I fully believe that Cajunstrike overall is a solid player…when I talk about The “Triad Hotline” and joke about “2p Duck King” etc all I’m doing is giving The Triad a hard time.
They know I respect them all. :china: So without further adieu I will allow Cajunstrike to come in here and explain 2p Duck King to you fully since Duck King is one of his main characters and he has won tournaments with BOTH SIDES of Duck King.
I am sure once SieClayton puts up the May 5th vids of me vs. Cajunstrike you’ll be able to see more about 2p Duck King.
Dumehra- About Daimon…good to know you think he’s great in GB mode…man I wanna see this seriously…because hes good in SC Mode too let me tell you…the Groove Ranking Chart has him as the best in SC…but I tell people dont sleep on ANY grappler in GB…free Just Defense= Punishment. And yes df+C is too damn good…
Yes people need to experiment more with GB mode…the GuardBreak qcf+CD etc because it can lead to some very interesting things!
Arstal- Remember man we are in a very stubborn niche here. Many people DONT LIKE CHANGE. Its like yeah people can complain they want Street Fighter 4 but then many are gonna complain when it comes out if its too different for their tastes!
I tell people NeoWave is a “fixed” version of 2k2…but many dont like the changes so they stick to 2k2. NeoWave really is 2k2 Reload but many gotta have their broken BC Combos!
Same thing with KOFXI…Arranged mode plays too different for most people thus they wanna stick to the Arcade.
Some people are OG’s like that too thus they want Arcade rules for everything…and as a tournament sponsor Arcade Rules is what they want so I gotta give them what they want!
Sanji- I believe I do have a copy of HSF2 AE, let me check…its been about 4 months since I touched it  so I gotta make sure I have it and it works lol. I got that and 2006 so we are good to go…I’ll be buying a VCR tomorrow and a tape or so so we are good to go!
Good shit OJ Good shit!
fuck no. any antiair by SC daimon in that game leads to his SC combo of doom.
I realise that Daimon is also a monster in SC mode, but he is also excellent in GB mode. That qcf+CD into his juggle in GB takes one stock, and for that damage and ease of comboability, it’s too awesome. Not many characters have such options in NW. I am now experimenting with GB choi.
