DG if you want another good Choi look up Evil Ray’s choi in 98- gives me massive fits. Choi is very underrated in 98. He’s not retarded like he is in 2k2/Neowave, but he’s definitely able to compete with anyone in the cast.

Mago Kim EDIT- Aso in NeoWave his Kim is very cognizant, very sharp, be it crossover Flash Kicks or whatever, he has Kim down very well. It amazed me how FAST Kim Breaks your guard with his 2k2 combo in this game. Mago would just go for that all the time and I totally forgot to AB Roll post Block to punish him for that so thats another thing I am ready for now. Getting past his Choi and Kim were the hardest things indeed…
I will beat him though…surely to give these Japanese dick suckers more to cry about…HAHAHA!!!

Not only has all this stuff been known for years, but most of those set-ups are entirely impractical (unless you plan on intentionally running across the screen while backturned and letting yourself get hit in the corner with a projectile) some of it is entirely escapable.
Playmore put Saving Shift in the game for a REASON. USE IT.
Also, that shit takes meter and stocks to do, and since the Oswald unblockable bug is banned in tournaments, the worst that can happen is that you lose one character.
To paraphrase Chris Rock:
If you just sit in the corner, and then throw a laggy-ass projectile AFTER you watch a stocked Duo Lon roll behind you…then maybe you DESERVE to lose.
KOF XI and NGBC will still definitely be run as unofficial tournaments if they need to be, so if you need to make KOF 98 Ultimate Match an official, I don’t think that would disrupt anything.
Honestly, I think KOF XI maybe even more popular in the South, but KOF 98 could garner more interest from other regions.

The unblockable is banned in Japan. But only on a character that’s coming in the screen. It isn’t banned as an oki as far as I know.
If you’re talking about the first combo, then you mean you have to stand there and let his DP+button card throw attack hit you and then let him cross you up. Most good players (Not that I’m saying that I am a good player, though) simply won’t let that happen.
Also, you can Saving Shift out of that before you get juggled.
Also, like I said, in the worst case scenario where you can’t Saving Shift the worst that can happen is that you lose one character (that’s only if your opponent has stocks and meter).

No offense but I don’t really know how you can accuse KOF XI of being broken. Playmore put Quick Shift in to make the game more dynamic, yes, but Saving Shift balances all of that (except for juggle combos).
Evo is not going to abandon BYOC because it is too much of a draw for ahem talently-challenged players such as myself and unofficial tournament heads like the Melty Blood and SNK scene.
The OG Capcom heads hate everything and always will. No reason to give up since there’s always going to be a lot of closed-minded hardcore players left around. If anything, SRK has become far more tolerant and accepting of other cultures in the last 2 years. I remember when even admitting to play Guilty Gear on this site made you a damn pariah.
