Controls were hella simple. Nigga just admit you didn’t enjoy the game for personal reasons and let die at that because so far, your critiques are hella whack.
Don’t bother, bro. Just… don’t bother.
i will admit to the personal reasons.
my personal reasons are i thought it looked ugly and i didnt like the controls
See that I can respect. Plenty of good games that didn’t click with me.
Yay! [brofist]
back on topic: The more time I play the demo for AW, the more fucking epic the fight with Augus is. Shish kabobed through the FUCKING EARTH!
Hmm, I knew Buddhism had concepts and or ideas from Hinduism, but not to that level. Must read more.
Then make it a damn cut scene. Don’t interrupt the flow with a useless QTE. This game should be a movie.
THank you, fucking thank you
Wait…so is the gameplay shitty in Asura’s Wrath? But then 2 posts up you’re bitching that the entire demo is a quicktime event?
Like which one is it? Just say you dont like the fucking game and be done with it. All these stupid ass justifications as to why you think IN YOUR OPINION that the game is terrible are without any backbone or any real unbiased commentary. Its getting so stupid in here.
Other than the demo, which are two quicktime BOSS FIGHTS and NO real MELEE, nobody has played the hand to hand portion. And yet with the two videos I post of that very thing, you’re still bitching about the demo being a quicktime event. We get it, they should have gave you a larger portion of the game that consisted of fighting regular enemies, but they didnt. Its not the end of the world. Its literally something to hold you over for a whopping month.
Honestly, the demo wasnt a quicktime event. SRK is just stubborn and argumentative, and anytime something different comes along…(like gaming genres arent already becoming oversaturated with FPS and lolita anime fighters) people bitch and moan about how they arent going to play it. But you are going to play it. Everyone in this thread is going to lurk around this topic once the game is released and hunger for more info to confirm or deny how they feel. There are bigger fish to fry, and instead you’re nitpicking on a demo that didnt represent fully what the game is about.
Lets talk about ALLLLL the footage that we have of Ninja Gaiden 3 that fully represents how much of a piece of crap thats going to be.
Maybe it’s the SHOOTER like, FIGHTING game like TIGHT spatial temporal reasoning this game is offering. I feel more satisfied calculating and successfully dodging tight situations than moving around some bald sluggish guy in a game that seems to be made for sluggish brains. God of war is like playing tekken with 80% pressing random attack buttons and 30% holding back or forward
I don’t think you have any idea what your brain is doing while you play games
Just becuase…

it’s pretty clear that it’s both. at least the first boss fight demo, anyway.
the 2nd part has more gameplay but it’s still congested with QTEs (basically, you can’t really hurt the boss unless you QTE the boss’ overhand sword, and that’s pretty silly). running up on the boss and mashing circle dose little to nothing. me dodging (or struggling to dodge) point blank slashes cancel into mash circle could be considered gameplay to some, but when you see that this process causes no damage and no increase in RAGE means this game is like a railshooter with fists. the trailer for the beginning of the game had a balanced amount of GP and QTEs but it wasn’t like a HnS game but more like Raiden.
based on the DEMO, low gameplay (which is considered shitty by SRK standards) and 80% of the action is accomplished through QTEs (which is not comparable to GoW’s amount) is pretty bad.
can’t see how that’s hard to get.

I might give the demo a shot, i’m not sure what to think at the moment. I loved the QTEs in Shenmue 1 and 2, but haven’t really liked any since. It seems like Asura’s gets it at least mostly right.
Holy smokes after that video I’d honestly rather watch that in theaters then play it. I would pay to see it multiple times at a multiplex, and then buy the DVD day one.
All you have to do is jump around him to dodge his attacks, when he goes into recovery after his last attack, combo him and you get the QTE. When he goes into sword mode just shoot shit at him until he tries to attack you, then combo him again when he recovers after whiffing his string. You can easily get infinite mode by throwing Ki blast at him from long range; once you go into infinite mode just spam heavy attack and there’s nothing he can do to fight back.
But yeah, this was pretty terrible for a demo. An easy way to see how much you actually “played” is to skip every cutscene and you will see how little you actually got to do.
^I rest my case.
We established that the demo should have had more gameplay elements for SRK, but it doesnt. Guess you have to wait until the game is released next month to get your fix.
So I rest my case.
actually you can combo Augus without him getting a shot off.
you have to use that little spin burst thing that puts him in hitstun (i think it was triangle) then go up and attack him with circle. itl will knock him down go over and press triangle. go up to him and do the burst or whatever with L2 and then attack him again. by that time you should be able to use your R2 burst
I’d like to see them make the actual fighting parts of Chapter 11 more interesting. I’d forgive them for the elongated QTE sections if I felt there was anything fun about the core gameplay. I didn’t see anything there. It’s already been stated, but games like God of War have handled the huge boss motif in much more interesting and fun ways outside of the QTE elements.
And I’m a big Godhand fan, but I can see why some people may not have liked it. Was a really fun game to play once you got the hang of some of the controls and the combos you could pull off.
YO can you all imagine watching this shit in IMAX?! Holy BALLS! This NEEDS to be a movie, now!
^What if this game were like just four hours long and we’d go see it in an Imax and we’d have intermission between acts of episodes. So epic.
They’d show Crank inbetween acts so you could keep a steady heart rate of a zillion bpm.
