Assault on Paris - Nov 13

Your words are wasted on people like that fool.

This article by The Atlantic is a very good read.

What ISIS Really Wants: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/03/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

My reaction when the SRK trolls cry about me constantly owning them in arguments, and make up weird excuses as to why they’re batting 0 for 4000 on this forum:

Okay, that’s very enlightening, quaint, even. Reality has come to imitate fiction, and not in funny ways. So, my conclusion here is that they’re completely, (probably) irredeemably this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KnightTemplar which is regrettable because they are utterly void of reason and rationality and most likely cannot be brought around. When people are this lacking in sanity. they have to be given an ultimatum of ‘forsake your beliefs or be exterminated’ and in the event that they refuse, they *have * to actually be exterminated because if it’s not done to them, they will do the same to MORE people in the Middle East and beyond.
…But that’s just my opinion. What say the rest of you?

The attacker at the Stade du France had a passport on him, and it was used to gain entrance in Greece, back in October.

edit:

Supposedly a second team was going to hit Paris again. Police took part in three separate raids, today.

too soon…http://puu.sh/llqCO/055468a85b.jpg

Repression. corruptopn and authoritarianism breed terrorism. Counterterrosim 101. Poverty sort of plays a role along with education as well.

This mentality that dictators can solve terrorism fails. Assad has lost 2/3 of his country, Ghaddafi is dead, Egypt can’t pacify the Sinai and etc.

Islam is barely the issue, its just something terrorists use to justify their actions. The social issues are what creates terrorism.

We have a lot of leverage over many of these countries and we keep supporting authoritarian regimes. We should bring them to the table and pressure them to reform. That is what will help.

Eastern European arms dealing. Guns coming from Russia and Ukraine.

About that passport found near one of the blast sites in Paris:

We should really wait until we learn more about the owner of said passport. Just because it was found near the blast site does not mean it belonged to the terrorist who blew up. The bomb left the guy completely unidentifiable. The passport could also belong to one of the victims who was caught in the blast. Or the passport could have been stolen and used to travel through the EU.

This is important to keep in mind before we go on and attack the refugees. So please do.

I just want to say that this sort of distinction, which would have been clearly labeled by real journalists, is ridiculous to have omitted from any story covering the event. Bloggers, sensationalists, and politicians jump on shit like this to use as a bullet-point for their agenda while not informing the public properly. Shit like this can cause riots.

Ah, excuse for propaganda to be used for an excuse to resend troops to the Middle East I see…

Troops are already in the Middle East, tho.

Growing up in France, a lot of my friends were of Algerian and Moroccan descent, but Arabs were always straight thugs and their neighborhoods to be avoided. France has always been a very open minded country with real democratic values that puts Her people on her forefront. And now, it’s come to this. I’m not sure what to think.

The reason we are so dependent on oil is because we refused to go all the way with green and renewable energy. If the world don’t need oil from the gulf states anymore, terrorists’ funding sources dry up.

We didn’t “refuse” to go green, green energy simply does nit provide us with the amount of energy we need to maintain out current lifestyles, and not enough energy for poor countries to make their lives better. If there is a better solution then people will use it.

Bu bu but that’s not what Bill Nye told me, and he’s a doctor!

many of these countries are victims of longstanding western intervention to make sure governments stayed in the hands of people friendly towards western interests (particularly the US after WWII). the US has directly supported extremist Islamic factions over moderate Islam or secular governments so long as they would fall in line with American business interests.

to draw the conclusion that that region of the world is fucked up because it is predominantly Islamic is not useful. there are many factors, and the biggest is that the people of that region are victims of longstanding western imperialism.

Oh boy, I have a feeling this un-related argument about renewable energy will go on for 15 pages.

Similar to that one ESPN article about a Blazer’s player son who was indicted with murder; the comment section turned into a debate about the age of our Earth.

Apparently French officials are unsure if there are more attackers still on the loose. It’s probably over for now since Paris is on high alert, but hopefully everyone remains safe and cautious.

I think it’s important to understand that Western imperialism fucked up a lot of countries, but let’s not get distracted here. It’s VERY easy to point out the source of the problem, but it’s much more difficult to be constructive and discuss solutions to the problem.

European immigration policy will mirror American policy regarding Mexican

You know it doesn’t matter what Isis wants. If the west really cares they’d take Russia’s stance on letting whatever leader clawed his way to power stay, and crush rebels.

Also, they need to dip rounds in pigs blood. Normal violence is I ineffectual against rabid fanatacism rooted deeply.
