Not to derail the thread, but i highly doubt that, considering tunisia is the only free democracy in the arab world, while the handful of others are partly free, and the rest (majority) under authoritarian rule. Like 6 of the top 10 populated arab nations are known shit holes, sudan, somalia, yemen, saudi arabia, iraq, etc…
While i think some people would be shocked at a country like turkeys progressiveness with a majority of its population being muslims (burkas are even outlawed there i believe), lets not over reach and act like the middle east and parts of africa arent filled with shit hole arabic islamic nations. Even egypt really isnt that great a place to be either, but its no syria at least.
I’ve always wondered if the prevalence of dictatorships in that region is a tacit acknowledgement of how bad the extremism can get in that area. Somebody gets in power in a country, looks around and just goes “Yeah…I ain’t giving this niggas shit.”
Look at other countries where they’re like 85-90 percent muslim…The first 3 in particular are some of the best business countries in the world right now. Indonesia had a female president in 2001… How many females presidents have their been in United States? Again… a few bad countries are giving some great muslim countries a bad name and you didnt even mention them in your list lol

They’re having a hard time enforcing democracy but it doesnt mean that the people arent fighting for it. They’re just cynical… how is everyone in Democractic countries not cynical. Maldives is also an EXTREMELY small population.
For the record, and this is without debate, the absolute best countries in the world year after year are Non Secular European countries (Norway, Denmark) . Anyways, I dont see the point in arguing about this. I’m just trying to not have people blanket muslims by only including the list of the bad countries listed earlier without giving credit to some very well run highly dense muslim nations. I’ll leave it at that. You and everyone else are absolutely entitled to your opinions and I’m not going to try and change that.

Not all of them are fucked up BUT we can’t deny the entire history of islam. The countries you listed, plus the ones here in the USA are damn good people… their Islam is a good islam but originally Islam has always been a dark religion. Next, this whole thing about the Isis and other terrorist groups are not 21st or 20th century news, this is repeated history ever since it’s birth… read about the crusades and how during the whole exploration period, they were probably the only ones impossible to conquer. Violence has always been a reputation of theirs for hundreds of years, this is why most explores that tried to conquer their lands ended up dead and why heel factions of WW2 such as the Japs left them alone. Yeah, people are going to go all pissed off and view this as stereotyping but this is just the historical facts.
Regardless of their history, that doesn’t mean that today’s islam is generally evil but historically is a different story. What Xvideos posted about the whole statistics is actually correct, many muslims from the middle east have that point of view and had that point of view for hundreds of years.
It doesn’t have to do with Islam as much as it has to do with the richness of the Mesopotamian region. Mesopotamia has always been a rich land, first starting with agriculture and land, and now it has recently been discovered (past 100 years) that is is rich in oil. That region throughout history has always been in some kind of fractured state except when (ironically) Islam first conquered the known world and it was at peace for about 100 years. During this time, Mesopotamia was the cultural and commercial capital of the known world. After they got raided by the Mongols, the whole region got rekt and it has been a shithole in war ever since.
