One thing that does come to mind is that Paris, being a tourist hotspot will likely suffer an economic blow, especially considering how indiscriminate these murders have been. This isn’t like Charlie Hebdo or the Danish cartoonist being targeted, but a full scale act of war on the French.
I’m also concerned about Muslims or anyone with brown melanin being targeted by irate “patriots” as a result of these attacks. It’s easy to be blinded by rage when your homeland is attacked.
I suspected this was going to happen. Judging by the first wave of attacks, I knew these terrorists would want to destabilize the country even further, as soon as possible.

This mentality creates terrorists. Assad started his civil war when he started shooting protesters against his government that supported the Alawites over the Sunni majority.
Don’t get me wrong, the Alawites had every reason to support Assad since they were getting slaughtered before but the country was already unstable and Assad’s repression made it worse.
You have to understand, these governments were already corrupt and ineffective. Ghaddafi didn’t even govern most of Libya, he just governed Tripoli, gave members of his tribe and allied tribes all the good jobs and positions in the military and government and left the rest of the country to rot.
Saddam was somewhat similar, this situation was highly unstable. Our interventions didn’t help but it is hard to say they would have remained “stable” even if we didn’t, no one saw Arab Spring coming.

Well, France now has China on their side, as well as Russia and America and I’m assuming Britain and possibly more of Europe.
