WTF??? Utada speaks ingurish? Damn…I thought that shit about her being American was just crap…
RC psycho crusher or lv3 or antair CC, or s.FP at the rite distance…thats it. Otherwise block or teleport.
alright buk, ive been having a lot of trouble with chun li lately. theres this s groove player that keeps whoopin my ass. Whenever he charges, ill jump at him to try to catch him, hell trip gaurd me with c.hk. his dodges are confusing me and i cant react fast enough to throw him. And after she gets that BnB into lvl 1 super on me, i am stuck basically. shes got many options. Walk up throw, low attack, high attack if i try to retaliate and am not blocking, and run behind cross up combo. or even fake run behind, combo. Its really frustrating me, what should I do?
team: A-Are.
you just kinda wait behind the machine you want to play on for the dude to lose. once the dude loses, there’s some hidden honor system that dictates whoever goes next. japanese people generally all look at each other until somebody decides to go and sit down. foreigners (french and hong kong dudes especially, but americans are still really bad) abuse the shit out of this system by muscling their way in and taking 3 times as many turns as the japanese
sagat is better in C because:
-
he has a level 2 for every situation ever. and since it’s stored, once sagat gets that meter nothing is safe anymore. he can punish any mistake, from a whiffed move from afar, to a straight up jump, to a predicted RC move with a ton of damage
-
sagat has a really good roll, and he totally needs it in a lot of matchups. remember, with the stored level 2, one good roll leads to at least 60% damage. in the matches where he needs to roll, there usually isn’t too much risk involved
anyway imo, C = N > K sagat
i like kremlin dusk the best. it brings out the angsty teenage girl in me
i wouldn’t say it counters vega, but the threat of it is pretty useful to have. it doesn’t really matter if you RC it though, because at the range you’re using it at vega can still standing forward your drill on reaction. if you use it any closer to take advantage of the invincibility then it isnt safe on block anymore
unless you really don’t have a good 3rd character to use, r3s just arent worth it. you’re throwing away a lot of total life for a small damage increase
first off, when you want to advance on somebody, walk up to them. don’t jump at them, dash at them, roll at them, etc. walk up to them. that forces them to make a decision (stick something out, block, dodge, walk back, etc), all of which have a counter
against s-groove in general, it benefits a-groove a lot more to sit back and charge your bar while s-groove charges up a level 1. if they won’t let you charge, problem solved. they just came to you. if they build up the level 1 and just sit there, problem also solved. you’re getting a full meter for free
after chun’s getting hit by chun’s super, there’s no 100% risk free way out of that. that’s why it’s a guessing game
lol@lonely driver
i never knew japan worked that way. i would of been confused myself if the dude tossed my coin on the floor. but i think i would of been fighting because nobody there would of been able to explain to me what happened.
but buk i have a question for you:
same shit. my bison AA game is weak. i been thinking to use a cr.fierce the attacker must come deep? also,if i was crouching and someone tried to cross me up-what options do i have besides roll or teleport like someone said earlier? whats my cross-up? sorry for the newbie questions
we are exceptionally rude
jackass
you can walk back standing fierce if you anticipate the jump, rc psycho crusher if you have charge (even if it doesn’t hit you are going to go back to full screen away which is totally acceptable). If you’re really unsure as to what side they are going to land on you can always just roll out of the way and jump away or do what I do which is rc devils reverse. Devils reverse is really good if you don’t get predictable with it since it totally changes momentum that they expect to have when jumping in for a crossup. Also if someone is going to cross you up and you rc devils reverse you can hold either direction to make it cross up and difficult to block.
Also jump back aand Fp or Fk works for anti Crossups
rc psycho crusher against crossups.
coo coo
“Kremlin Dusk” FTW!! “Hotel Lobby” is the only other song on that CD I can stand to listen to. Why is that new CD so disappointing?
With Bison I like to jump back vs crossups. Doesn’t always work, but it’s pretty good. Jump back and fp, fk, mp are all good options. Also remember that against jumpins you can jump forward to meet them in the air and do fp, mp *2 xx something, mk.
Buk:
Is Sagat’s d.MK hit confirmable?
I always assumed it wasn’t. My friend taped Ohnuki playing at Evo this year for me though. I noticed his blocked low forwards never get canceled into super, but his hit low forwards do? What the heck? How did he do that?
hey buk, i recently dloaded a vid of a japanese k-mai player.
got any info on him?
it’s the same one that was posted on GFB recently…fyi
Its got a weird late cancel to it. You can do it such that, on block it doesn’t seem to cancel at this timing (I could be wrong on that), on hit, it cancels really late. The best way to test I think is go into training mode, and do a lvl 1 low tiger shot super from max range of d MK. If you get it such that it doesn’t combo… this is roughly the timing for the late cancel. Lvl 2s and 3s combo from this range… just lvl1s don’t.
As far as timing goes, you go: d MK, watch the opponent reel back, and then do your super.
Short answer, no. There is almost no hit-confirmable moves in this game. Besides stuff like elec-CC
cammys hp is hit confirmable
so is dhalsims d/b+hp i think
Cammy’s fierce, ducking strong
Maki’s ducking strong…I think, Keith cheats with that shit
Guile’s ducking forward
Sagat’s meaty ducking fierce is hit confirmable into other normals and then super, standing two hit short
Chun’s close fierce seems like it
Rock’s close fierce
That’s all for now
Lay off the crack. What do you call ken’s short short super?
