^which is hard to tell cause they NORMALLY go over FB’s anyway if done at the correct time. and LP DP’s aswell.
also i read somewhere about a RCing bison headstomp? how’s that done? i cant incorporate any cheats to that. do i hold the stick down and slide it back, roll, then up+K ?
and electricity. i got it out by luck a few times the other night. so i wanna learn now lol.
^thanks, but i couldnt quite understand it at first. so i gave it up.
for instance: i’d RC bison’s pyscho crusher and once it goes through the opponent the keys confuse me. i know they flip some how,but i still couldnt understand it. it’ll be cool if it was displayed across the screen and not downward.
I think it’s prolly better to do it your way, which is:
lp mp hp roll hp
That way, you don’t have to double tap/negative edge or do any weird crap.
Also, the whiffing lp timing is stricter, but once you get it down it’s better since you don’t have to wait until the hp is done.
I’m just now getting into CvS2 (a little late, I know) and I wasnt really wanting a team rate, just more like if it’s playable. I really like K-Groove because of JDing, shortjumping, and running and getting super for getting beat (this happens a lot!) is great
I’m currently playing K-Cammy, Guile, Blanka-2 (as anchor)
I’m ok with Cammy (i dont see how you couldn’t be), but I play guile like I play him in CFJ, which I don’t think is very correct because it doesn’t work nearly as well. Is Blanka a good character at all for K-Groove? He seems to be heavily reliant on roll cancelling from all that I’m reading, but he is doing fine poking and shorthopping~ If I want to cheese someone with c.HP should I just pick sagat? I’m also interested in Nak/Vice for K-Groove. Are they any good?
For a K groove team thats pretty decent to play. Blanka is not too heavily reliant on roll cancel, but its a plus of course. You just need to use pokes accordingly, rushdown mixups with low jump, and jd stuff that give him problems without roll cancelling. But what really makes blanka good or more so playable in top tier play is when he’s rage. So basically make good use of your rage and this can be said about Guile as well.
About Sagat, you should try to see if you like him instead of seeing if he has cheaper moves.
Nak/Vice, u should play them. They are not so called good as in tier, but playable. If you become better with these characters you see yourself improve in your real team overall imo.
I didn’t recheck the video to see what you’re talking about, but here’s what I think it is:
Opponent is in the corner
You’re in cc mode
You do the qcf.k~hk overhead move
You cancel the first hit into ANY of her wall moves
In that particular clip of the vid I believe I cancelled into the qcb.wp wall jump
Vs some chars (I think it depends on the height) Maki for some reason reverses the direction of the wall move (this is why she wall jumped towards Guile instead of away)
I think there was some other combo in the vid where I cancel into a wall dive kick into more shit before ending the cc
This cancel probably works because the overhead brings you into the air and the cornered opponent is close enough to the wall for her to do one of the wall moves
I haven’t tried, but you might also be able to land a jump-in move and cancel it into the same thing
Kindebu showed me this cancel (or something very similar) a few years back while we were sippin 40’s and talkin about the meaning of life
do the headstomp, hold the direction you want to go, then after the stomp let the stick go to neutral once bison reaches the peak of his bounce. that’s it. if you do it right bison should fly in the direction you were holding (before you let it go to neutral) crazy fast. it looks pretty wild
Bison’s headstomp move can’t be thrown even when you RC it. Bison now has a super easy way to escape the corner whenever he wants without having to take the risk of trying a teleport.
Even a retarded person can practice the execution on this corner escape and then run away indefinately.
Buk:
Do you have a counter I can use? I can’t jump attack Bison when he’s going up because I’ll get stomped on. If not, then I don’t think I like this game very much anymore.
edit:
With Ken I have…
-Trade with d.HP (not in my favor)
-Walk under, DP from the back (a little hard)
-Shinryuken (any level)
-Jump back Fierce (need to be extremely fast and it’s my last option because if I accidently flinch, I just jumped back for no reason)
This is at point blank range or after one low short’s distance (where my jump back or jump straight up doesn’t work), and Bison does an RC headstomp. It’s the best I can come up with so far and they all seem very hard to do on reaction.
I used to just block the stomp and sweep Bison when he lands, but now with this fly away thing, I don’t think I should ever be letting Bison touch me with this move.
Have you tried jump back?
Can you aim Bison’s headstomp? I was under the impression that it was kinda autotracking for the intial stomp part, and jump back tends to cause it to either whiff a lot, or keeps them out of range for a midair stomp. So jump back RH/Fierce/whatever you’re favourite attack is?
[Edit:]
Ohh… you’re thinking kinda point blankish stomps? Eh, wouldn’t have much experience dealing with those, no wonder my advice sucks :D. Go Buktooth
i spend about two minutes in training mode and find:
ken’s anti-cross up #1, close fierce, wins 100% of the time
ken’s anti-cross up #2, close forward, wins 100% of the time
early jab dp trades, but then you get to dash up and JUGGLE A SHINRYUKEN WOOOOO
what most characters do in this situation (roll) doesn’t work well for ken at this range since all he gets is a sweep
jump back attack on reaction wins if done quickly, airblocks if done late
bison’s mix up to headstomp is the devil’s reverse. here’s what happens when you guess wrong:
close fierce = lose clean
close forward = becomes far forward, bad trade, but bison can’t juggle cc
early jab dp = win clean, don’t get to juggle shinryuken unless bison was in the corner
roll = if timed to counter a head stomp, gets punished by devils reverse
jump back attack = wins 100% of the time
make of that what you will. if you think bison is going to devils reverse, the best counter is to wait until he pops up and hit roll. bison will land right next to you as you recover from the roll and you get a full combo
