Ask Kim1234 about random Bison sh*t!

I know. I’m just pointing that out.

you can’t combo c.short into any PC unless it’s a counter hit.

the extra +1 after FADC is solely to give bison an easier time at accessing a higher damage output. before you had to choose between an unplinkable 1 frame jab link after the FADC or a 2 frame c.short into a 1 frame unplinkable s.short. the buff removes the 1 frame necessity from the equation and thus makes linking with c.jab after the FADC a no brainer

what i meant was a bnb combo starting with cr.lk thats results in a PC knockdown. (cr.lk,st.lk,cr,.mk for example)

I hate how Bison’s FADC combos still scale so badly. I’m wasting 2 ex bars, in my opinion the damage output should make it a worthwhile investment. -___-

The FADC combos are good for rewarding good reads. IMO you can get some high stun combos off it, but they won’t be as spectacular as that new Wolfkrone C.Viper stuff that was posted. It has to followup with something.

FADC is not always meant to be used whenever possible.
In Bison’s case, it’s better used to take advantage of 3f punishes. They’re limited. You can only cancel Cr.LK into Scissors LK/MK. This deals low damage and doesn’t create the best opportunities, which usually happen from a close knockdown.

Cr.LK -> Scissors MK -> FADC, Cr.LP, Close LP/LK, Crouch MK, Psycho LP = you get a close knockdown, good damage. From this point, you can:
a) new string (frametraps, throws, scissors chip, more meter).
b) safe crossup psycho (100-140 damage if done correctly + stun + meter).

So, instead of 110/130 damage + lousy stun + far knockdown
you get 225 damage + moderate stun + good opportunities. 2 well spent bars.

^^ All that is character and situation dependent though… and an extra 100 damage, some extra stun and a potentially unsafe setup isn’t that great for two bars.

yes. As I said, this is not a all-purpose buff. Bison never needed a big one.
But there’s no unsafe setup. Psycho Crusher after close knockdown is perfectly safe against reversals and punishes.

Fair enough. Thanks for posting knowledge by the way. I hope the Gems DLC will help Dictator in 2012.

I have a question:

F. throw into the corner - so the goal is to land in front. Whiff c. mk/c. mp for timing. Where do one use c. mk and where to use c. mp and who does this actually work on?
Backthrow into the corner - any setups?

Sorry Man I m sure I can do bison combos to p.crasher since super , also the sk to Fadc doesn’t really considers a buff to bison , I don’t see any reason to do sk->Fadc->cr.mk , if only cr.mp links after it then we could have been abel to do a better damaging combo ( for example: cr.lk->sk-Fadc->cr.mp-cr.mk-> hk sk or hp crasher )

Losing two bars with bison is too much to afford to , since he heavily depends on it to get in or out (escape) And etc

@Kim 1234
I got a question , what do u think about the match ups between
bison vs Cody , bison vs juri ,bison vs sagat and bison vs ryu
I know it’s a bit early to ask/judge ^^ but just want to hear ur opinion based on the changes in AE 2012
No need to go much indetail so just give me numbers (10-0)

Did you actually read what i said… i never said bison couldnt do those combos into PC, i said they made it easier. And sk>fadc +5 is a real buff because linkin it to cr.jab makes it a 2f link instead of a 1f link.

And in certain situations, it is usefull, there are a lot of setups u can think of after PC (no not crossup PC…)
And no, its not always an ex-waste.

And u dont have to always depend on meter with bison when pressured, bison can also block sometimes :open_mouth: !

Bison doesn’t need the bars to escape against every character. Meter usage, like everything, is matchup-related.
ChaozTheory is saying relevant stuff here.
With these 2 meters you can change a simple 3f punish (cr.lk > scissors) into something and this something might even be the life lead you need to properly prepare your defensive manuevers (important against guile, rog, chun, dhalsim, honda).
Psycho LP is Bison’s best string ender since SSF4. Deals more damage than Scissors MK (and less stun btw), the enemy is as close as possible to you. Allows good strings, safe Psycho deep/cross, etc.
These stuff are balanced out by the fact that Cr.LK can’t properly go into Psycho (only from 1f links). Now, instead of 1f links, we have <Cr.LK, Scissors, FADC, Cr.LP, Cr.LP, S.LK, Cr.MK, Psycho LP> granting us this knockdown and increasing damage.

so… you’re telling me i should be practicing this combo?

Yes, of course!
Practice it keeping your charge during Psycho LP so you can Deep Psycho them just as they get up.

Oh now I see the use of it  great info man thanks a million bison$ dollars ^^

Ok I got it man now ,thanks ^^, yeah u can also block too :stuck_out_tongue: Lol

So lp PC as a combo ender is preferred over hp PC because of positioning. Didn’t know that. I’ve always been using hp PC because of its damage.

Everytime I’ve watched Neurosis play, his Bison always seems to use EX head stomp when he senses his opponent might neutral jump to bait out his scissors. What properties does EX head stomp have over the regular version?

Massive dmg, and alot of invincibility frames

Are the invincibility frames on startup? Can it be dp’ed on reaction?
