Taiwanese player? I was born there but leave around 14, all I can said for video game is VF or KoF, I was pretty good at KoF AE…
and the culture and the environment make it not very attractive for young adult going for pro gaming career, especially Taiwan. Gamebee is pretty rare, (Said maybe there is no more Taiwanese player can exceed his career. I will not surprise) and I bet if they still at school, is harder for them to practice…when I was there, we go school for 6 days a week and at home like 7:00PM…Taiwan just not that friendly for gaming and electronic sports, hell to most entertainment people still against it (older generation does not and refuse to see or learn what new generation is truly about, they just think get into good college=good job=GDLK PAID)
what I really want to see? TUC return and all bison pro (online+offline) Battle Royal!
Hell this is gonna be delicious !
Still Gonna ask Kim something, how do you deal with ibuki kunai overhead ? (possible OS followed? I was eat a grab ultra while I turtle the hell out…)
it can be blocked, but once in hit stun, her speed and reset ability (yeah I know sometime is just such BS, non of my trick work and if I knock down she jump in again)
blocking is not hard, the problem is after kunai block string just so evil in some cases…
scary thing is there is too much Bison online now, and most people KNOWN that you can grab the hell out of EX-PC start up, hell even Rose UC2 can be grab and throw.

Anywho any advice on the Kenneth masters matchup? Feels like the round is over once ken gets the knockdown on bison (option selects dp/tatsu/sweep). What do u feel the ideal range is to be at against him? I can?t really treat him like ryu cuz he doesn?t rely on the fireball game as much. (imo)
Wdup Kim. First of all thank you very much sir for this contribution to the community, I’ve been learning a lot from this thread. (I learned to love playing lame)
Second of all, I love standing roundhouse as much as any man can love a normal. I love it so much that I never/don’t know how to use crouching fierce as an aa. So I was just wondering if you have any tips on learning to get comfortable with it as an aa.
Some of these questions don’t require a high level player for an answer.
Dic doesn’t have to “lame it out”. That’ll work fine and dandy against scrubs.
If you’re playing vs a decent opponent, don’t just walk back expecting a jump-in to catch them with s.hk, or just saving those short SK or EX PC.
It’s a really shitty way to play, and easily read by any good player. Hell, if an Abel player decides to cross you up with HK roll, you’re pretty much fucked.
I’m going to point out something that I haven’t read from Kim1234, and I believe it’s one those lovely things that up’d my game brutally with Dic.
yeah s.short hit box is pretty good…
and s.short into c.lk is good too, and after frame trap hit, pretty much piss any character off and just wait that reversal come out…whiff s.shot? I may try them later
frame trap is evil, it means you not only know they gonna mash c.tec, but it also lead to more baiting. Pretty much if they have reversal they KNEW you are waiting for those, but can do NOTHING about it but keep guessing is either more or not, if they reversal few times already and get bait out and eat big combo, they will stay at corner and stop jumping and you can chip them whole day.
(I hear from the speaker, they all said OMG OMG what I gonna do…lol)
Kim is there any record, word of he-say or footage of you or any other top dictators against the top chunli’s? Im talking about in a short or long set. Outside of nsb you rarely see that matchup.People easily say why they think she dominates him outright but there are alot of variables in the matchup that people overlook as well as the patience of the bison player which is one very important variable.
We all know how Chunli player mindsets works how she wants to dictate the pace of the match but dictator does it just as well as she does and the psychology of the match is really deep and not so cut and dry. Its tough for both. Not a simple answer but be lame when your up and rushdown (safely) and you’ll find this match alot more easier. I find that people generally are afraid to take chip damage by walking up and using footsie tools and fundamentals. Like in the Rose matchup walk up to that bitch no fear while being conscious of limb spacing and jumpins!
Vanilla- 6-4, 5.5 chun unargurably
Super- 5-5 argurably
AE- 5.5 chun (theoretically based of info)
Also in your opinion what are dictators 5 toughest matches in order?
AE is here soon aka a reason to go back to cf other than once every 4 months!
Let?s face it, Bison doesn?t do a lot of damage. Based on that, he can not truly be a rushdown character unless the player is much better then his opponent.
I think the meaning of laming it out can be misunderstood sometimes. To simplify things, I will just say most of how I think as a bison player involves something along the lines of… 60% defense 40% offense
This often fluctuates and defense goes up to 80% a lot.
I took a look at the roster and could only come up with viper as a character I would choose to rushdown. And thats a big maybe.
Lame does imply time out wins. But it doesn?t involve constantly moving backwards. You are going to have to adjust your spacing to keep yourself in a neutral or advantageous position. And many times you will have to remind your opponent that even though you are playing defensively, he has to respect you. Roundhouse him, intelligently attack him here and there, mix it up, move all crazy.
Didn?t you guys learn anything from GSP vs Koscheck? come on guys
I deleted all of the footage I had of myself vs Chun after SBO was done. There are some vids on youtube of me vs Chun but I can?t think of anything off the top of my head that I would specifically recommend though
n-pc1C225j0]YouTube - Kim1234 [Bison] vs hyde air [Chun
this is the only match I could find, and it?s whatever
I won?t spend too much time writing on this cause AE is coming out and it?s pretty much a mute point to keep talking about the previous version
For the most part, I agree that maintaining a lead vs chun is important. Often you can figure out the skill level of the player by seeing how much he is able to pressure you once you?re in the lead. If they just do random jumps or desperate things in order to get in, you know they aren?t that good.
The big problem is, when CHUN is the one who decides to never attack. She gets meter quicker then you are. Eventually near the end of the match, she will have several fairly safe ways to gamble to do damage. And most likely you will have to stop doing devils reverse because she will probably have ultra by that time. This leaves you either sitting there(not being mobile) or walking around obviously not having a charge.
I will see how the match up is when AE comes out this Thursday.
I will be uploading many matches starting this Thursday, keep you fools posted
If what I’m reading is correct, after they block a scissor kick, the worst that will ever happen if they hold up to jump back is a measly shitty roundhouse.
If I find a way to land damage safely after a blocked scissors, I’ll be ok. If not the game almost definitely just got more boring
I’m gonna be pissed for a while at these AE changes. Ever try explaining Bison’s weaknesses to a bunch of guys that constantly lose to him because they cant block? smh. Does capcom WANT people to not use their characters or what? Stupid really.
obviously a big talking point about the increased pushback for the lk sk is the fact that it may be easier to get opponents in the corner. do you think this is a valid counter-argument or is it negated by the fact that corner pressure has been weakened because once you actually get your opponent in the corner, the increased pushback leads to less pressure…
Or just s.mk to stuff their measly attempts at a counterpoke.
Or s.HK to stuff any sort of jump.
The way I see it, I still find him awesome. I never went for straight Scissor pressure anyways. I’m in love with s.lk right now. Walk forward + s.lk. It’s hilariously great. Mix in some throws, delays, s.hk, s.mk, and the occasional scissors, and you’re in for a treat.
