As usual, Mr. Schmenger brings up an interesting point. I will say that for all my time in this scene, there are very few, if any, subjects/topics I have seen discussed that made somebody feel super uncomfortable or awkward. The people that I’ve come across tend to be really open and non-judgemental, which is a large part of the reason why I continue to stay in the scene. Having said that, besides a blatantly hate filled or discriminatory discussion that wasn’t in jest or satirical in some way, the only thing I can think of that I wouldn’t want to have a detailed discussion about is sex, gay or straight. Talking in generalities is fine (dragon age [Frank], bite / scratch marks [Jared]), talking about genitals is not.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, personally, I wouldn’t mind talking about a “feminine” subject with one of my gay friends or anybody else as long as it’s not crammed down my throat (no homo), and I think a lot of other people in the scene wouldn’t mind either. Like, I actually watched the entire first season of Project Runway and enjoyed it. This doesn’t make me gay, nor does it make me a fashion expert, but I also never really had anybody to talk to about it so I lost interest and stopped watching. This all goes into getting to know a negro better, and changing the people who in the past I’ve considered my “video game buddies” to my friends. While I may not be an expert in any “gay” topics, I’m certainly open to at least talking about them.
Both. I play FFXI, and I have two close ingame friends who are a gay couple. One plays as a Mithra, which is kind of a sexy catgirl. The other plays as a male Tarutaru, which is a short cute hobbity looking thing. For what it’s worth, I’m a straight male and I play a Mithra too. This is not uncommon.
I don’t want to be treated any different, as Francis said just be one of the guys. The only thing that kinda bugs me is how we’ll get into a conversation about fine ass girls, and I’ll agree/disagree with whoever is fine. But I often feel I can’t talk about oh this guy is handsome blah blah blah w/o killing the entire conversation. But I guess that comes with the territory.
Keep the questions coming! This is actually pretty interesting.
So Frank, why are baby dragons called “Drakes” in Dragon Age? Why did they feel the need to name infant dragons after a popular rapper? I don’t see them naming baby dragons “Waynes” or “Jays” or Guccimanes" so why are they naming them Drakes?
As to why they aren’t reffered to as waynes, jays, or guccimanes is because they have reached full grown dragon status after slaying the charts with their auto-tuned fire breath, or have fought other infamous dragons like Nas, or have blessed the peasants with chains that hang down to their dick, or lots of lemonade.
Of course it does. IT’s Zach Morris, and AC SLater shirtless, it’s every closted gay teenagers dream. To some, it still is…ahem.
I don’t know you or have seen a picture of you so I can’t really see why gay people are attracted to you.
As to how I know someone is gay before I even approach them, well the enviornment is a good way to start (gay club, gay bar, bathhouse if you’re feeling super slutty…for the record I haven’t done the third option yet). But like face to face well there are some things you can say that can lead to it like asking where they go and hang out, if they say capitol hill that’s a good indicator, or if they say neighbors, Rplace, the Cuff, Elite, Pony that also tells you what kind of guys they are attracted too. That’s about all I really know, if I see someone that I’m not too sure about I’ll usually ask them if they have a gf or something first, and if they say no and don’t say something that gives me an idea on them being gay I’ll ask where they hang out at or what bars they go to. Sometimes you never see it coming. I had no idea about Francis. And finding out about our star football/track star in HS was a shocker too, although very cliche.
Perhaps it’s the eye contact you make with other guys. Eye contact is how I tell whether guys or gay or not. I get this kinda glimmer in their eye.
Yes, that avatar is extremely gay. Two shirtless dudes. It doesn’t even matter who they are, an avatar focusing on nothing but two random shirtless dudes is well, rather guy. Most guys go for scantily-clad women (tasteless IMO, lol).
But yeah, just the way you carry yourself and eye contact for me. Like guys who are so confident in themselves that they got that swagger? Yeah you get those hips swangin’ when you walk and I feel a disturbance in the force.
Seeing that my brother attracts tons of black guys, I’m going to have to say it’s just a black person thing in general. But since the rest of america has been exposed to what life is like in the ghetto or hood, more races across the nation (and possibly the world) have begun to appreciate the ass more.
Ok, I had this discussion at work about 3 or 4 months ago thought it somewhat matched the subject matter. It ended up getting super graphic and hilarious and went on for hours, but I’ll keep it short here and just get to the point. If a guy is into Transexuals is he gay?
I said no, because he is into someone that looks like the opposite sex. So even though it’s a guy technically, he is still attracted to what looks like a female. I don’t think he is straight, but I also don’t think it’s gay. Something entirely different imo.
The other argument was that technically it is a man, so technically it is gay.
So, what are your thought’s on TS’s. Are they members of the gay community? Something entirely different?
They are apart of the gay community imo LGBT? Or is it LBGT? Doesn’t matter you get what I’m trying to get at here.
See I get the 2 confused because there are those men (or women) who dress up in the opposite sex, and then there are men (or women) who become the opposite via surgery etc. etc. I can’t remember which term to use for which definition. Thankfully with your further description I believe you’re talking about guys that become women via surgery.
So to answer your question no I don’t think that makes them gay. Because as you said, they are attracted to female characteristics, and I’m assuming that when a man fully goes through the process he “fully” goes through the process and has his genitalia altered? I might be wrong on this. But if they do manage to go that entire route well then wouldn’t they be considered a woman? I would think so. But this boils down to who you ask really, I’m not sure if other’s will agree with me here (I can see Airthrow disagreeing with me 100%).
Homosexual, heterosexual; as much as we use the terms it’s really not a black or white thing. Whether you’re into transexuals or not has nothing to do with whether you’re gay or not. There are gays into transexuals, there are transexuals that are gay, there are transexuals that aren’t gay. There’s no real answer to that question if you ask me. Sexuality has a lot more depth than people tend to realize?
I mean I know it’s sort of a jestful question, but uh… yeah. There’s too many factors. To someone who would say yes that is gay, what about a gay guy that is into a post-op gay male? Would that make him double gay and by double-negative make him not gay? :looney:
As far as being “gay” while being attracted to the TG/TV community I do not know. I do, however, know that society has not come to bear that understanding as a whole in America just yet and thus the definition(s) are not yet known.
This reminds me of that one TW I attended where you were quite buzzed and mentioned my girlfriend…and a threesome. I took that to be an awesome compliment. She and I must be doing something right!
What are you talking about Brent? I know you are all about DAT ASS. We don’t even need to get into specifics of how I know this, but there is proof. The love for ass sees no color.
Often times I have wondered how I would approach being gay. I’m not curious about it even though I appreciate a good set of muscles and chest hair. BUT, it would be an interesting scenario. I can see myself getting a kick out of making homophobes feel uncomfortable. Maybe start a gang made up of really tough gay guys. Bet my sister money I could pick up more dudes than her.
Also@ Elais. You made me laugh out loud with the with the post-op gay guy double negative comment. I agree, sexuality is a lot deeper than people realize.
Awesome! Everybody get ready for my next round of compliments.
If Pablo and Brian Ma had sex, it would technically already be a threesome, because they are both a man and a half.
kinda serious question. What do you do/feel when one of your favorite hip hop artists uses the word ****** or says things to imply homosexuality as a negative towards someone? Or not even JUST artists. even people we know do this. I know you/people we all know use the word ****** and call things “gay” but, it must still have an effect, am i right?
