EX TT has always had one of the longest range out of his TT’s. That hasn’t changed since Vanilla.
Something I was thinking of… I can probably get long online sets vs good players of specific characters you guys choose and record them to try and capture the idea of the flow for the match-up, just as a way to visualize these match-ups. It would help people who need a actual demonstration instead of just reading shit in the forums.
If someone here can help me record these (since i don’t have a way to record direct-feed) it would be appreciated. I can also record these sets with my phone in HD, but it definitely won’t be the same as direct feed though…
Thoughts?
That’s a great idea, reminds me of Ryan Hunter’s “Exploring m/u’s” video vs. Seth. You can’t really find legit match footage between Abel and most of the cast. Pretty daunting task finding 38(assuming you don’t do the mirror) good character players maybe you can get Abels from other regions to contribute sets.
As for my request, I would like to see Juri.
Similar to EmblemLord? If so, that shit would be hype.
I like it. Still don’t know how to fight Chun really so I’d like her.
haha yeah later on i realized that i didnt check the frame data… and yeah ex is slightly longer than MP… i guess i rarely use ex tt while depending on its range so i was surprised lol
(in the abel beginners guide, it says MP = EX though so someone better fix that)
Yeah. I’ll fix it. I haven’t touched that shit for a good year now. xP
I’ve never seen his videos, so I’m not sure if it’s something similar. I actually want to do something similar to what Ryan Hunter was doing, but with longer sets and with known players.
I see interest in Juri/Chun. I can probably get a long FT10 session with Neo, I’ll look for a Chun player though, since my online training partner in the match-up kinda retired (Shizza, lol).
I’ll still need help recording them though, if someone has direct feed recording equipment, please let me know.
Brilliant idea, I’d like to see Honda, Adon, Cammy & Fei Long
id like to see an abel-abel lol
SETH!!!
do it, do it, do it. I started playing Kof XIII and haven’t looked back. it is so much better than SF4 it is not even funny… only char I could stand playing in SF was Abel because he let me play the game at least kinda closely to how I wanted to play it. even still, the higher lvl you play at the more boring and turtley you have to play your Abel. the opposite happens in KoF, the higher level the game the better your rushdown and mixup. everyone’s neutral game is so explosive and powerful it makes Abel look like a little girl. no FADC to ruin your day, good reversals usually cost a full bar and aren’t safe, you get rewarded for doing big combos, okizeme is powerful but nowhere near as retarded as Akuma OS flip bullshit, it doesn’t revolve around dumbass canned setups for safe jump OS and all the reset… pressure is its own reward because of guard bars. the whole game is just better designed. way faster overall, much better character variety, you can use the entire roster with good success.
try out Clark. he can do some pretty funny stuff and has a very Abel-esque oki game with ambiguous rolls into hit confirms or grabs
yeah, im tryna learn kof myself too
Imagine if Abel could special cancel mid roll like Daimon.
Yo, I’m actually really digging the match-up concepts vids. I can do the sets for all of next week starting Monday.
Do any of you have recording equipment though? I want this to look clean-cut, since I can only record it with my phone (in HD, but it’s not the same as direct-feed). You can send me a FR at ii Strider LL and we can record them through my replay channel, where you can then upload them to your Youtube channel if you want (I can do this if it’s too much of a hassle).
Concept matches are really cool to watch, you learn a lot of subtle things you don’t pick up in a 1 game or even 2/3 format.
What players do you have in mind?
Gus I sent you a friend request. Can cap and upload for you, send me a message when you’ve got some sets together and you can replay them (I’m in the UK though so need to plan a time ahead).
You could absolutely show everyone the el fuerte match up, with you and renzo, and the oni match up with gork.
oh yeah gus vs renzo, id pay to see that lol
God bless this post.
KoF is the most hype fighting game I’ve seen in awhile. But I refuse to play Clark/Ralf on terms of aesthetics (even I have scrub moments xP).
