I read through this thread and I gotta tell ya, I hate the “relax, it’s just anonymous internet hate” and “you’re worse than he is” crap. You know why people spout racial hate anonymously? Because people like you guys say that comments like these are standard fare and we should just live with them. I mained Ken, Ryu, Guile, Vega, and now Balrog and i’ve not received one racial hate mail in the G1 arena. Perhaps i’m on PSN and not Xbox LIVE have something to do with it? Ok, so I may have been called the N word even though i’m chinese, but i wasn’t even using Balrog at the time. I’d just report them though, then block them.

I’ve been lurking this forum for a while, and I didn’t think something like this would be my first post, but here goes.
This kind of mentality is actually bad. It’s like supporting mob rule. In China, I believe they have a word for it that translates to “human flesh search engine” or something like that.
The guy is an asshole and possibly a racist, so what? He’s just mad. People say stupid stuff when they’re mad. He has no power. He’s not going to keep the original poster from getting a job. Or enslave him. So who cares? The punishment you suggest doesn’t really fit the crime.

I get my fair share of racial hate online, but it’s usually in retaliation to me telling them how bad they are. when i know the person is bad, i let them stun me, let them taunt (because they inevitably do) then proceed to kick their ass anyway (or let them win the round then proceed to roflstomp them). i send them a message saying something along the lines of “taunt in a match again scrub” then i get things like “fuk u n*****” or “maybe if i gave you a stereotypical black food i woulda won”
