Art's Hobbies - DIY Acrylic Cases

No, the paper is too thick.
The Plunger Cap cannot close fully over the Plunger.

Couldn’t be happier with the way my Tek-Case turned out…great craftsmanship, very well packaged to ship, and arrived 15 days after the order date. I mention that because I kept wishing someone would give updated ship times while I was waiting (someone being posters, not Art, he’s busy)…most of the posts are people from a year ago wondering when their stuff was arriving  Full pics in the new stick thread…thanks, Art!

Here is how nicely packaged it was there are allot of layers and everything is triple bubble wrapped One of the best packaging i have ever seen so far Not a single scratch on anything

after a while figured out on witch side the new diamond joints were going because yes now they have a little bump on one side for some reason idk why. This is just to show you guys the Weight Slots with the copper BBs its not as nicely done as the one jdm714 did but still took me a very long time putting them one by one at the end so its nicely compressed it does no sound whatsoever when i shake it now

overall hitbox again

So I live in canada So i was afraid i had to pay any taxes or fees But art sent the package as a Gift so i ended up paying nothing so shoutout to you art for the quick thinking

The only thing i am a little sad about is i asked afterward for a black etched bottom inner border but ended up getting a transparent one in the end But its fine it doesn’t really matter at all lol in the end it looks good this way

overall Ill give the Tekcase a 9.5 / 10 im very happy with the end result everything turned out looking fine The case Looks Really Solid Because there are 3 layers of plexi on top and 2 on each side to sandwich the arts i could drop it on the floor and nothing would happen it looks very solid atleast mine does

Yes, laying out the BB took very long time!

So I’m still toying with the idea of non-Seimitsu buttons with Art cut, erm, art. Do you know if there’s a different weight of paper that can be used in Sanwa’s? Will Rollies work with the standard Seimitsu cut?

Is there like a template or paper dimensions of how the artwork is layed out for the TEK cases?

Yes. On Arts site, Useful Information, Photoshop Templates for Artwork and Etching submissions

Also, one more thing
anyone found an alternative for weights?

may order my case next week if everything goes well!

well there are some other options but its alot more expensive then BBs =/ or make to much noise

Shoutouts to Art – he rushed my order and threw in a black plexi for free because his supplier for the mirror finish was backed up and it couldn’t get to me in time. I got a package today and it was the backordered mirror plexi I always wanted, so I have it installed now. They both look so good, I don’t know which one to go with. Any input?

and here’s the bottom panel art did, really great too

Both look pretty hot but the black/black seems cleaner.

Good work, to you and Art.

Thanks Art for this. Looks great~!

This Tek Case thread is getting flooded with non Tek Cases.

Going to figure out an order while it’s still cheap, TP Red with some OP Black highlights. Sega 1p 6button layout…

Want to find some really amazing art to etch on. These cases are AWESOME!

I just ordered one today with the weight slots… any suggestions other than BB’s to add to the weight slots?

Pretty much anything you can fit into those slots. I just found BB’s relatively the best for weight, price per lb, looks and stability. There’s potentially Lead weights, but I personally don’t want to handle those. Another option I contemplated were larger washers from hardware stores, and for looks there are Oxidized Black washers. But, the cost per lb to fill up the slots was more than the BB alternative.

You mentioned in an e-mail that the weight slots can block the buttons on the front of the stick (i’m guessing a neutrik as well)… do you have a visual example of this so I can see how far in the slots go and if a 24mm button/Neutrik will fit?

Here’s an idea how much space you have left for the far corner buttons. It’s gonna be pretty tight.

That looks like it can fit a 24mm Seimitsu button… anyone have any experience with it? Prove that it fits/doesn’t fit?
