You did such awesome work on my first order, I put together some new templates and was all set to order again. Oh well, I’ll post pics of my first order after my bezel paint job is done.
Man between your site and lizardlick/akihabarashop being down I’m almost stopped in my tracks for new projects
Those etchings are the most badass thing I’ve seen so far. I’ve made my mind up that I’d like something similar to the Ryu etching with the red/black background.
What would I need to send you, once you reopen, in order to get something like the Ryu one made?
Yeah, trying to take out the costs of Setup fees where other places would charge + etching time. Just trying to keep things low as possible =)
Afraid I won’t be attending =(. But that’s a great idea on the selling part. Although I’d imagine I would need to get a booth and those costs a bit of money too I bet.
As for the PSD, they’re available on my website right now =)
Lol, thanks man. But eh… only 3hrs sleep is going to kill me =P.
lol, thanks, but I can’t accept such a title. The true plexi god would smite me
Thanks again and Sry again for the wait dude. =(
Thank you very much!
I would just need the images =) (High res is still preferred). But download the PSD templates I have on my site now, and look around for an image you want to use. Then just apply it to the PSD to see how it looks. Eventually I’ll have an Etching version of the PSD, but it’s just the current templates with added layers and instructions. So if you give me the PSD with the image and how you want it positioned on the plexi, that’s how I would work on it.
Aight, got tons of meetings today so I’ll catch you guys later =)
actually he said he could make the SE plexi’s and drill 3 holes in the top and bottom… so all we’d have to do, when we get the plexi, is drill holes in our SE’s according to the holes he made in the SE… then just screw them in!
Hey Art, sorry for the late post. Just thought I’d get these pics up of the work you did.
Very impressed with the quality and the etchings that that you have started doing. Man I have so many designs in my head, this is gonna end up costing me quite a bit. LOL
Man that Epilog w/Corel does some amazing work! I thought the stickers my friend can make with his CD/vinyl cutter were complex but this blows them away.
Once I get my TE I’ll be placing yet another order. Great work!
Cheers for the comment dude. I would do but I am planning on having quite a few designs and if I painted the trim and bezel It would look odd with the others. I think I am gonna go with Art’s new trimless plexi and get some engraving done on it.
pretty much impossible according to Arthong. there are a few pics of his attempt earlier in the thread i believe and it just bends back and lifts up. because of the screws being underneath (and the shape of the SE) it makes it impossible to get it to sit flat…
Actually… He said it would work, if u could screw it down. So he could drill 3 holes at both top and bottom of the SE plexi… Then once we recieved the SE plexi, we could drill holes n our SE according to the holes art drilled n the plexi.
think you could find long screws to use the existing holes that keep the top on now? i wonder if you could still use snap-ins or if the plexi would be a lot thicker than the art…
I think you’d just need two extra holes at the bottom. I’d be totally down to drill more holes in my SE so I don’t have to use a crappy lookin lami label for new art.
so maybe 2 holes in the top 2 corners and 2 holes in the bottom 2 corners?
cuz from the looks of the SE plexi that he made and posted pics of, it looks like it’s only the corners that had the problem of popping up a little… so if they were screwed down i am almost positive it would work and look awesome!
hmmmm… i didnt realize there were already 2 holes. i was thinking 2 hole in the top 2 and the bottom 2 corners…
i would bet he’d make the plexi similar to the TE version, so i would think snap in’s would be fine!
maybe mr. art could try these ideas of drilling holes and screwing it down to see how well this idea works, how good it would look, and if snap ins would work good??
