They really took the “I’ve made a huge mistake” thing up to 11 this season.

That last season was awful. Not completely terrible, mind you, but I wasn’t a fan of each character getting their own episode. They worked better as a group. That being said, Tobias episode was incredible.
Agreed, I hated most of it. I did hear they were going to re-edit it, but I don’t know if thats been released.
watching an entire of episode of Micheal Jr, without the rest of the cast, wasn’t exactly fun
it was like the tv seasons equivalent of a concept album. definitely not ideal and I hope we get a return to form. but I hope we get roger sterlings character back
What happened to the movie?
That turned into another season. If anything the horrible season 4 proved AD only works in it’s original format and they shouldn’t try to change it up too much.
Last season was fine, so annoying to hear people hyperbolize it’s quality, but i’d be lying if I said the show doesn’t work as well with character centric episodes.
woot? No it was dreadful, it was as if it was written by someone who had only heard about AD from someone else.
My brother who loves AD just as much as I do couldn’t bare to finish it.
Even the creators admit there are problems, enough so they even went back and re-edit it PLUS Ron Howard is redoing all the narration too!
I didn’t say it was perfect, but it certainly wasn’t dreadful.
Weakest season, for sure, but it was still a good watch, it was still funny, and it still had all of the stuff I liked about the show. The only real slight was that they focused on characters one episode at a time instead of the usual formula and that led to some other problems in itself.
For me, it was the focus on the sister and Tobias. I can take them in short bursts, but not episodes at a time.
Going to go back and watch it. It’s one of my favorite “over the top, fuck you” shows.
