I absolutely adored this show.

This show is great. One of my favorites shows of all time, easily. Their self-reference never gets old. Itâs got a great mix of subtle humor, and in your face humor. This show is for everybody⌠why would they cancel this? (oh, thatâs right. Fox⌠itâs what they do.) I did some âresearchâ. (Wikipedia⌠lolz?) Arrested Development won an Emmy six times, and a Golden Globe as well. I know Hollywood is a businessâŚbut this is exactly whatâs wrong with the industry. (Hollywood and Music biz) Fuck talent. Fuck a good show/artist. Making a profit isnât enough. Itâs got to make gazillions of dollars out the gate, day 1. Sorry for the salty rant. lol Itâs just shocking that this show was cancelled. But shows like Two and a Half Men are considered/rated/ânielsenâdâ as #1 show on Television. (at one point)
Only reason I even watched this show, was because a random friend, of a friend of mine, mentioned it the other day. She said pretty much to the effect of, âwell, I know people hate on Michael Cera for his acting or lack of acting, or whatever. But I can tolerate him because I first saw him on Arrested Development. Loved that show, loved his character.â So I decided to give it a look. Saw it was on Netflix. Been streaming it on my 360. Love this show. lol
Although, I did find Buster very annoying in the beginning. The episode where he said, âwhy would I sell my shares, I would never do anything to hurt this familyâ⌠with the sad face and soft voice, totally changed my perspective on this character. lol Itâs not his fault he is the way he is anyway.
I just found out about the movie. Kind of torn. Donât want to be a poser like Iâve been in on this show since day 1 or something. Iâve only been watching this show for 4 days. (Iâm on episode 39 :tup:) But I donât want them to fuck this up. If they do it right, the show could be brought back. But if they do it wrong⌠show will remain a canceled diamond in the rough. This show needs to be brought back.
Random: I got a little chuckle when Henry Winkler jumped the shark again when leaving the dock. (the episode where they thought they tracked down the Seal with itâs GPS tag, only to find they tracked down a shark, who bit off the seals flipper with said GPS tag.) I didnât catch it at first. I mean, I saw there was something on the floor, but I wasnât paying attention to what it was exactly. So when he hops over and starts running off to exit the scene, I had to rewind it real quick. Saw it was a shark. lol Good shit writers. Felt kind of dumb, becuase they were there to discuss the shark to begin with. Just didnât click right away, since the shark on the floor was so small. I was assuming it was some huge shark they tracked, since the shark bit off the seals flipper. lol Iâm pretty sure that scenes reference doesnât need explaining. But incase somebody is unaware of that term, or why Henry Winkler was the one who hopped over itâŚ

the show gets better the more you watch it. trust all the hardcore fans. your 4th run through the show will be the funniest.
So many jokes I can guarantee you missed and so many inside jokes you will find as well. Jumping the shark was one of them, but their are more⌠(Michaels real sister, ron howard in the court scene, GOB with his wifeâŚ)
I rewatched it again this summer. I canât remember the new things I found, but even the little observations are so funny. I may be imagining this, especially with Final Countdown blaring away, but I swear I heard the explosion that sunk the yacht. At any rate, GOBâs anxious stance and then genuine surprise and delight when he sees the yacht is gone is great.
I also love how âit walked on my pillowâ is apparently the final straw that makes the bird unwelcome, and Tony Haleâs laughter when saying it. And was Tobias about to engage in some auto-erotic asphyxiation in the âhidden roomâ? I canât think of another reason for the plastic bag that he seemed eager to get rid of when he saw Michael (thatâs either girl or boy Michael depending on who you ask).
Iâm probably on my 10th time through the series and it still makes me hurt from laughing. There is so much genius, you canât look directly at it. Itâs like looking into the face of godâŚ
Curb is really the only show that rivals ADâs genius IMO.
But it walked on my pillow! Is my favorit quote from the series.
Also, season 1 ep 3 is the best, raising baby buster. Everytime they talking trash about him without him in the shot, but then the slow pan out showing him their has me rolling every time
Ok, after looking online (too lazy to pop in the dvd), apparently the plastic bag wasnât empty and it was just another âbodybuildingâ magazine. I like my interpretation better. I also remembered one new thing I found- N. Bluth is listed on the computer as âconslutantâ.
