Armored Core: For Answer

What is “dual processing”?

Ah yes, my bad. Meant OC (orbital cannons).

AmbiguousCrosup, you still post @ ACG?

Cause it’s on 360 as well.

Well, rather than equipping flares, I’d say it’s better if you just learn to avoid missiles. Especially since he’s going for sniper/blade which wouold probably be a lightweight, it shouldn’t be hard to just avoid them altogether.

I think they mean dual weilding?

The FCS has a stat called dual processing(or maybe it was parallel processing?). Either way, I have no idea what it means?

What’s with all the other VG music in the youtube videos? Does AC now let you import music? This game does look badass though.

Nah, the uploader just mixed the music in with a video editor.

I just picked the game up today. Looking forward to playing with you guys (and later blowing you to bits).

I’m not 100% sure on this but I think it’s being able to target multiple enemies at the same time. I don’t know if there are missiles for it right now but maybe there could be a certain missile that could hit multiple targets with one shot.

once you set your AC up correctly, you can move too fast for the netcode to keep track of your position, so your opponent sees you as teleporting lol
people whine about this most when you do it with blades since blades home and have that speed boost, so it’s really easy to “abuse” lag tactics… though truth be told, teleporting dual rifle setups are pretty abusive as well.

Also permanent OB builds are hilarious

GGs to Daddyneptune.
To bad you weren’t on my team lol. Maybe next time.

I’m having a hard time finding the right color scheme for my AC. I managed to come up with a decent looking color scheme, but it ended up looking like that one Algebra AC’s colors.

There aren’t that many people on the online rankings. Theres about 200+ players I believe. I rank 61 lol.

I’ve just bought the game and played a few (7) missions. I like it so far except for the absence of strafing, which is REALLY annoying. I know that when I lock onto a target I can strafe with the left analog but I can’t perform it otherwise.

Something else that I don’t find amusing is the targeting system. Randomly during combat it can be damaged or destroyed and you can’t target anything after that which will usually result in getting your mech-ass whipped.

About the ammunition, if you have extra capacity in your AC to hold some more ammo then why can’t you? In Mech Warrior this was a non-issue, as long as you don’t exceed the weight capacity you can add additional ammunition. The game is pretty deep but they leave such an important aspect out? I’ve been caught several times where all my weapons are depleted and was forced to quite the mission and restart.

I still haven’t gotten online as I’m still pretty newbish but I will once I can get a handle on this game.

It’s been like that since the beginnning. I’m not sure if this game has it but past games have had extra ammunition parts that take back hardpoints. Well, eitherway the thing is you’re going to be using a different mech for missions and for duels. Just build one with lots of ammo and damage at the same time. Generally just go like dual rifles with some missiles.

Never fails.

Barely. I pop by every onece in a while but I don’t post.

That was my little brother Nero. He beat the damn game before me but my ac are better than his. I’ll be on at 12 tonight. My rank is garbage at the moment.

Riot, if you press the “back” button on the pad in the AC build screen it brings up a help option. It states that “Dual Processing” is the ability to fire both hand weapons at once. The higher it is, the less degredation in accuracy when firing simultaneously.

Anyway just played it today. Finished chapter 1 and reached Fragile in the AC arena(who I couldn’t beat yet). I’m using an AC named Sting equoipped with the non-Algebra gernade rifle and back launcher, machine gun, and radar. Forgot all the names, as I played it on a friend’s 360.

I have no idea what to name my pilot and mech. ;_;

Haven’t played AC since I believe the first PS2 version. Are heavier cores viable or do you need a lighter one to survive? Cause from the videos it looks like movement is important. I think the last core I made has pursuit missile which took up both back slots and only 4 missiles. However the one you shot would stop moving then fire off about 12 tracking ones. Also are energy weapons used more often cause in the older ones it took away from your boost and that the newer games the system has changed.

White Glint’s parts are CHEAP (esp. the leg part). It’s got the turning ability of a light-weight biped with the stability and defense of a middle-weight biped. I’m owning with her configuration. Can’t wait to try this online.

Thanks Gasaraki.

I’m not sure if From Software nerfed it for this game, but in AC4 you could have a mech with heavy tank legs and be able to compete. The tank legs gave you more armor points and a higher load tolerance, but what people were doing was using tank legs but with a light/middle-weight core on top with average weight weapons. This allowed the mech more speed than normal heavies and more armor than normal light/middles.
