seriously though, bryan is one of the nicest people I have met, no bullshit. the problem is not enough people actually know him, and his posts can definitely rub people the wrong way, but the funny thing is, he’s just the same in person and will tell you the exact same things to your face. as well as the fact that as Le RAFF pointed out, hes usually trolling the shit out of everybody, and is amused by the reactions some people so eagerly feed him.
whether you want to acknowledge it or not, he is an asset to the FG community in general, and has done many things for us. are we so quick to forget the opportunity he gave this scene for SSF4? the one that some people shit on, and cost us future capcom titles, and could have possibly cost him HIS JOB? i’m sure had things not happened the way they did, AZ would have been writing the guides for MVC3,UMVC3, SFXT and who knows what else, but for some reason, brady does all the capcom guides now, and im sure prima was real happy about that,riiiighht.

I was told by someone (who I won’t name) that he was playing Muji at one of the events (I think it was AE or MvC), and he asked Muji for some advice after their match. Muji started to provide the advice and Armando put a stop to it telling the newcomer to get off the station and that this wasn’t a training class (or something to that effect).

Being a newcomer and a neutral party I will have to say this is probably a giant pile of hippo shit, ever since I started playing everyone has been really nice and gave me all the advice I needed save for someone like Arnul, but from what I gather he’s just a dick which is cool because dicks can be funny. Actually the person that got me into coming out was Armando and he has been helpful ever since, so anyone that says that is an idiot.

I don’t know if this is a great example, Bryan. Armando think he the king of the castle sometimes. Muji always willing to be nice and welcoming (as are most of the players) welcoming isn’t really the issue so much as “holy shit what did I get myself into” that comes after you’ve stayed a while. It’s kinda like when your girlfriends family invite you to their extended family cookout… and your girlfriend is insistent that you DO NOT GO because the family is filled with nutters and bitchy queens and drama and shit… but you’re like “how bad could it be??” and you go… and afterwards you have to be carried home with a security blanked because you have shivers of fear of what happened… then you have to break up with her on account of her crazy extended family because you think maybe she might turn out that way…

I should not say anything but here it goes. Bryan is a nice person most of the time although he is a little bit of an elitist, but any community he has been involved with he has done a lot for them. From what i hear he does a lot for the MK and SCV communities. Yes his posts on he do seem a bit trollish and he does seem to be trying to get a response out of you but at the end of the day who is more stupid the Matador or the bull. Also about the ssf4 guide thing regardless of what it turned into. It was still awesome for the az community I mean how many people in az got to play the game earlier than most people I mean from what i remember it was like 2 months before the release. So it did benefit all of us because the people that got to play early could give the rest of the az community tips and tricks as soon as the game came out instead of having to develop things completely from scratch. Oh yeah and I would say that our community is pretty welcoming for the most part until you piss someone off then it starts to split into who likes you and who doesn’t. Which if you did piss someone else you probably don’t like them anyway so you don’t care. Our next thread title should just be AZ community: The High School of the FGC. Then at least people know what they are getting into. This is just a popularity contest like anything else.
