Really? How are my facts not straight? I clearly stated that AIAB did not inform the SC community. Posting on Facebook is not informing the SC community, which is why NO ONE realized it was canceled. ChinNuts and Scott didn’t even know it was added in the first place despite the fact that it was clearly stated on the FB page so clearly the FB page is not the best place for posting information about changes to the event.
If AIAB was announcing a SC5 addition, they’d inform the SC community, not hope that someone from the community randomly reads the Facebook event page. I guarantee if one of the Capcom games was canceled/added, Abe would post in here to let everyone know of the change. You can’t deny these facts. The common courtesy is to inform the SC community of this, especially after confirming SC5 would be at the tournament.
I guess you could argue that the SC community should’ve been checking the Facebook event page to get updates just in case something was changed, but I can argue just as easily that AIAB should’ve posted on 8WR to let the SC community know SC5 was canceled since that’s the best way to inform the community of the change… and it’s a pretty big change.
This. PS2 version was slower, DC version was faster, DC version was definitely the better version. Neither replaces arcade, which is why I said I would rather play there, but DC was definitely the accepted and preferred alternative over PS2.

Bryan, you weren’t even planning on going. This was just you trying to find another opportunity to run your mouth. Neither Ed nor myself have ever posted anything on 8WR… ever… in life. We never posted about the tournament on that site so why the fuck would we post up there that it was cancelled? Makes absolutely no sense but ok, whatever. Its easy to sit there, claim you were going, and say “I asked a few days ago in the SC thread to figure out who was going and possibly get travel arrangements made for the Phoenix side…” But the truth of the matter is that you haven’t been to an AiaB tourney for probably about 2 years now and none of those guys have ever shown up or expressed any interest in going. Ive never even seen the SC community in all the times ive been to Phx for tournaments (other than Dev). Point is: you don’t like us and I would gladly set you on fire if given the opportunity… and thats ok. But what you’re saying is just retarded. I will happily apologize to anyone who feels that we inconvenienced them but we did post on the FB page (which is where we do most of our advertising our tournaments) that the tourney would be cancelled like 3 weeks ago.
^ i didn’t know about it until a few days ago. That was one of the reasons i wanted to go. But it got canceled. After hearing that i took a saturday shift at work, because i no longer play the other games that are going to be there. It would have been nice if it was posted on SRK at least. I would have seen it sooner, but oh well. Hopefully next time you guys can run SCV

ya, but short of getting everybody to the arcade, which not one person has shown any interest in, its the best option. I had a blast playing zaine at castles and would like to have a session with the game again.

You and Ed didn’t have to post on 8WR because Jeremy said he’d do it for you… which is the only reason why the SC community even knew about the tournament in the first place. I’d assume that once you decided to cancel it, you would at least inform Jeremy to do the same, or man up and do it yourself. You even stated to Aaron that you should’ve at least posted here about the cancellation (which would’ve been enough).
You’re right, I had no plans to go to the AIAB tournament because of responses like this one and what happened on the FB event page. However, there were plans to organize a Phoenix tournament soon, so I wanted to see who was going to the AIAB tournament so we don’t overlap events, and organize rides if need be (since you canceled, the Phoenix tournament is now this Saturday). Yes, I think the AIAB staff are a bunch of ignorant fools (well, you and Ed mainly), but we haven’t had a SC tournament in Phoenix for about a month, and supporting the SC scene is more important to me than creating some sort of informal AIAB boycott. Shocking, I know…

I get the fact that you don’t like me (trust that the feeling is mutual), but you represent AIAB and it was poor business practice to cancel the tournament and not post here and/or 8WR or at least ask Jeremy to do so (even though he doesn’t work for AIAB).

If none of the SC community (including you and Jeremy) are going to check there for updates once in a while then that shit isn’t my fault.
