A big thank you goes out to everyone who showed up to AiaB today! It was one of the smallest turnouts we’ve ever had but everyone still had fun. My apologies to the Marvel peeps. When i first set up this tourney, there were some Tucson players who were still playing Marvel, but sometime between then and now, everyone stopped playing. There were only 4 entrants and when we tried to get a RR together, everyone seemed unsure so we just ended up doing nothing. Either way, good to see all of you guys and glad everyone got some casuals in at the very least. Hope to see everyone next time and good luck to everyone in the ranbats next weekend! =)

Hey Abe and the rest of the Tucson crew,
Thanks for showing us some hospitality when we were down there yesterday. it was nice to see you guys! Ricky and I are practicing, but we’re still learning the ropes and trying to form our psychic bond to help us predict each other’s moves. It was good for us to see other characters being played and trying to figure out ways around pokes, what’s safe and what isn’t. We’ll keep practicing though and don’t be afraid to offer me advice.
Roch - it was good to see you man. I feel like I haven’t seen you since like 2007, and that may even be a true statement! You’re awesome at all games. I hate you for raping me with “the machine” as I’ve come to call it. You know…that thing without a joystick. Frankenstein-ery.
I think I’ve met Marvin once before, but he is a really smart player. I know Ernest and I have played before in 3S as well and he was mowing us down like old grass yesterday. Good stuff!

I hate to do this but I’m giving away my scrub sticks for FREE. You can take it, upgrade it to use that gay Japanese lolipop shit and have a good time. Works on xbox 360, ps2 and I have a pelican adapter for ps3. I think I have 2 I just have to look around.
The only thing I request is that the person that wants it actually uses it. This baby has gone to many tournaments and has hardly failed me. With a stand for two players, cup holders and all the buttons mapped this is one kick ass setup.

Damn it, those sticks belong in a museum; A slice of AZ FGC history right there. Many a Cali/Vegas player have bitched about not being used to them, but Raff didn’t put up with that shit and they played anyway!

RAFF that stand up cab is nice but it would definetly be more useful for Jeo since hes always dickriding CvS2 and would use that more often than most than the scrubs here. i have a hard time believing anyone else would actually put in the time to convert it to sanwa,
I recently got a Cigarbob cab, its really shitty right now but when its converted to sanwa and sanded/panted and some new panels its going to be sick!
Geoff, those were hella good games yesterday! ST is pretty much my favorite game ever, so it was a pleasure to get some quality games in with you and Scott.
Daayuum!! I remember those shits!! those are what good custom sticks were back in the day, when you couldnt just go buy a TE at any number of stores, if you wanted custom sticks, you had to build them yourself, or know somebody that could.
I agree with arnold though, those are much better suited for cvs2 or mvc2 than they are modern fighters. those are not gonna be easy to convert to jap style at all. If i remember correctly, the button holes are different sizes, and i wouldnt want to play the current gen of fighting games on those either.
I dont think you could just swap out the parts for jap ones, but im not 100% at all, so many things have changed since i used to mess with sticks, all my experience is with happ parts, all sticks ive had with jap parts were bought that way, so i havent physically done the work. Neil would be a good person to ask, as he has dealth with both.
