use c.hp xx ex.tatsu and it won’t whiff (will whiff on akuma, blanka, and vega depending on distance).

As Obey said don’t use it without c.HP (or s.HP), need to make them stand for it to connect properly. Still doesn’t help if they block it (sometimes) 
If only s.HP/c.HP forced people to block standing afterwards and it’d be okay.
akuma may not have armor breaking moves but just about all of them hit more than once so in essence he does. But what im trying to say is that he’s better equiped to fight sakura than a lot of other characters.
Lol, you pretty much described my situation here. Since I’m trying to be at least decent, I try not to mash buttons while I’m messing around with Sakura, but I’d be lying if I said that I do her ultras exactly when I want to. I’d blame the x360 controller’s dpad, but I don’t think that’s it, since I can do Guile’s whenever I want.
Then again, Guile’s my main, so I guess I just need some practice with shotos and whoever else has similar motion for their ultra/super, and I believe half of the roster is like that, but I hate shotos (except for Sakura, 'cause it’s fun playing her).
Anyway, my Sakura’s worst enemy is how quick I pick her, while the other guy waits then chooses some big macho to destroy me (often Zangief), so when I choose her I’m already going in with that “it’s a lost fight” mentality. Anyone else suffering from this?
Today I feel better with Sakura, totally better at fighting Boxer now.
I actually love playing Giefs for the satisfaction of beating up a bear-wrestling Russian with a jap schoolgirl. Think along the lines of an Italian plumber vs. a fire-breathing dinosaur…turtle…thing…but anyways, the matchup ain’t 10-0 adv. Zangief so I don’t get why you would think you’ve lost already when the match hasn’t even started. <.<
And think of it as a boss battle: the odds are against you, normal tactics don’t work so you must get that brain going and play smart. =D
In other news, I’ve finally tried championship mode due to peer pressure and wow, Giefs and Blankas and Akumas and Sagats in every match. It’s like everyone hates Sakura or something.
giefs are easy. all u gotta do is see if he is a lariat gief or grab gief. but if hes good u just got to keep him away and punish him. the scariest thing about gief is his cross over stat.
Oh yeah, Boxer is a hard match up for me. >_<

Does Sagat still count as a bad match for Sakura? I am not asking this as a whole but mainly for online players. How many Sagats online have you fought that didnt spam tiger shots and s.FK or wake DP’s? I honestly think Sakura is a scary match up to most people for about 10 seconds. It will take about 10 seconds to realize what type of Sakura you are fighting, either who is about to prison type rape you or one that doesnt know how to play and leaves her in bad situations (like me.
I personally feel she is the only character in the game that you really dont know what you are going to get when you see her pop up. All the others ones you pretty much know what to expect and just need to be able to beat it. Sakura isnt like that, there is no real flow char to her. Well that is just me and people will say she does have a bit of flow chart and I respect where they are coming from as well.

I would still count Sagat as a bad matchup, you’re sort of factoring player skill in a theoretical matchup when it is a fact that Sagat still has far more tools at his disposal.
Yea, tigerknee shuts down pretty much everything. Facing crappy online sagats that will gladly whiff tiger uppercuts all day set me up for major disappointment when I have to face a real Sagat.
