When you hear his silly scream for the Jaguar Tooth jump backwards, when he lands you can hit him with a jumping attack (j.HK I think will do it) and then combo into c.MK xx Shou. If you’re too slow and forced to block it try back dashing afterwards, will avoid being thrown and Rising Jaguar, otherwise just stay blocking as taking a throw isn’t as bad as the Rising Jaguar (I think).
Or you can just cr.hp him if you know the timing. Basically anything hits him out of the air during Jaguar tooth, you just need to know the timing.
Yeah, I’m not too sure on the timing with c.HP but with Dudley I just use s.MK as soon as I hear his silly squeal, that move has such a chunky hit-box for AAing (might not have a vulnerable hit box on the striking arm, which would explain why it’s pretty awesome).
So yeah…Honda. So not only is he able to zone the crap out of with his normals…but you’re telling me that he FALLS OUT OF c.HP to EX TATSU??? WTF CAPCOM? This actually got me killed earlier. Absolute bullcrap.
LOL, had that happen to me too I get Honda raped pretty damn regularly actually.
Honda has shitty hit boxes Sometimes he’s even out of range of Otoshi follow up after EX Shunpuu
And for some reason against a blocked head butt the first couple of hits of hp shouken hit but not the rest ._.
Honda is even more retarded for Makoto.
Thanks guys, I’ll try them out. s.hk seems to work quite well, also, I’ve found, to my suprise.
I lost to a Rufus who I won the first round against, second round was close, and the third round he perfected me. Then sent me a message on XBL “PERFECT lol scrub”
I was like, “You’re playing Rufus…”
and his response was “Rufus is weak on SSF4.”
what…
Heh, not according to Justin Wong he isn’t, #1 in that completely whack tier list.

Its not the fact that your fighting Rufus, but you’re Sakura, she has a lot of bad matchups…
well…sakura is a little weak girl.underestimated by most ppl out there…but exactly THATS,why i love to play with her!
learn her combos and shenanigans!mindfck ur enemy, beat the sht out of the high tier chars!
this gives u a nice feeling
…unleash the beast!!! xD
When you put the work into her, it really pays off.
No sexual pun intended :badboy:
so i went to a local arcade today, and played a few of the people there. alot different than the common online players, i enjoyed losing. its a good experience. doing bnb’s and other combos is alot harder than i realise when your opponent is actually reacting to it, not like a standing dummy in training mode.
i just need to work on my execution its atrocious
I was at the milpitas bi-weekly tournament and got
bodied pretty bad with sakura. I was sent to the losers bracket by a really good ryu (he’d end up taking second, which made me feel a little better), beat out a viper in a close match, then got destroyed by boxer. Here’s what I tool away from the matches, what I want to learn, and what I need to understand better:
-
what characters can sakura poke and which ones strait up out-poke her? I mean, her standing roundhouse and crouching forward are cool and all, but against certain characters, she
just gets out poked and counter poked ftw -
what can sakura do after the knockdown. I feel i get too predictable by attempting a cross-up after every knockdown. I mean, I see folks hover and throw out crouching shorts that actually hit. How is this done safely, or are they just gambling?
I’ve been picking up akuma, Rufus and Ken, just to make sure I have options, and I’ve been winning so much more with them. It feels like such a waste to leave sakura so I’m going to stick it out longer, but damn, against competent competition, it’s a real struggle…especially when everyone knows what you’re going for (mix-up).
Think sticking with the jumping on wake-up is a good idea if you can get away with it, need to try and mix in some fake cross-ups with j.HP and empty cross-ups and go straight for the low combos, the odd empty jump to forward throw attempt doesn’t hurt either
Yeah, replaying it again and for the next time I play competitively, I think that I def need to do more of the following:
-more safe/empty jumps, but less jumping in general
-I missed a lot of combo opportunities by not capitalizing on the cr.FP’s I hit because when I hit them, I didn’t know what side of the opponent I was on and I couldn’t react in time to cancel into another move
-I need to use jumping short as an anti-air more and go for mix-ups that way too
15 losses in a row in ranked! Winning % of 22.4 out of 50 matches. Can anyone top that? What, no one? I see my title as the worst Sakura player is still unbeatable!!!
I will top that; don’t know how many straight losses but down from 3200PP to 1800. Daring anyone to beat that!
…No one can top how bad I am. Everyone in the Team Sakura room can agree.
