I got some good in-game messages on GGPO earlier. After I won a few he said “the ST online data is wrong” (I don’t know that this means…) Then after a few more he says something like “this wouldn’t be happening offline - at all”.
Pretty much the definition of a fragile ego.
Oh yeah then when I say I only time for one more he says “fair enough but I’m going to call you a bitch if you leave”, to which I explain I have to go pick up my kid from school. Stay classy!!

You forgot to mention Roy Beisel rookie dk, psf(roys henchmen), seshimarou, prodigy heck sad to say there are to many ass***** that love to get under peoples skin. After dealing with them I sometimes lose the desire to even play ST anymore its quite a turn off. I mean if they were doing this in the arcade im sure they would be kicked out fast.
We need to make a list of ID’s for players that are respectful and won’t act like jerks.
What GGPO needs is some moderation and a ignore button.

In fact, it is for the chat, not the emu. But it is cool. I do not use it because I like checking the map, even though it is useless and often inaccurate.

J.Scogz/Airthrow you are right I did do that back in 2007. I have no excuse for what I did and I made sure to take care of the people I wronged.
As far as my playing you and talking trash? I highly doubt I ever did that with out either some provocation or I was just fucking around.
Airthrow I never knew there was a problem between us. I always enjoyed playing you on GGPO. To top it off you threw me in with Bojack and Will. That is just dirty man.
As far as how I act on GGPO yea i’m a total dick to anyone that doesn’t show respect. I will never throw the first punch but if I see some dumbass talking out of line I will be happy to help him step back in place.

on GGPO, I’m TheTempestSonata. We’ve had some solid blanka / gief matches in the past, you and I.
People do this to me alot on A2, win one then quit. Idk, I guess if I win 30 straight and lose one they are better. CigarBob I never seen talk mess unless they deserve it, usually the same with Roy. I’m all about offline line being better than online, but if you got a good connection on ggpo the difference isn’t gonna make someone who loses to you 5-5 magically become god, some people just full of themselves. I use Hawk though, and when it comes to his tick 1 fame will jack you up. Fuck you Gief users and 8 grabs frames. I hate you.
I think CigarBob is a cool guy. The only problem I have is that he doesn’t really put up with bad players. Each Time I play against him I make a note to start with my main (chun) or switch to her within the first 3 games. Otherwise he’ll say last one and quit after at most 4 games or so… He still says gg and is polite. But I get the feeling he’s brushing me off when that happens.
As for ego? really. I don’t care. I just try to get as much practice in as possible. I always say, I’ve gone on losing streaks of like, 50 and still haven’t RQed. I’ve NEVER RQed in Any game…
What I find annoying is when the GGPO chat kicks out, and people announce that I RQ after a crash/freeze.
“I don’t play RQs…” …

What really hurts me even more than that though is when people think I’m an alt account for Wildestroya. Nothing against the guy, He can trash talk all he likes… (I make a note to always use chun when playing against him, because he WILL quit and trash talk if he wins the first three in a row…)
But that’s the thing, people will avoid wil because of that (I don’t, he’s perfectly good competition) and when they confuse me with him (why, just because I got a canadian flag…? there’s more than one person living up here y’know!) They reject challenges from me too.

Unessential, its not that I dont put up with bad players its more that I get bored or see someone else in the room that will entertain me more.
In the end I am on GGPO for the competition and if the person isn’t strong enough to keep my attention i just leave or drop down to some of my lesser characters. Even that isn’t much fun in the end.
I know that. You don’t have to explain yourself that’s WHY I go with Chun right off the bat now. unless I’m testing something I just discovered with Cammy or Deejay. I play for the competition as well. I just hold out for a bit longer before quitting (just a tiny bit) xD. Just to see if they change strategies…
by the way, GGs yesterday. I forgot to ask to try your Fei again before you left. Seriously, you’re like the only Fei on GGPO who knows what they’re doing for that matchup.
