Wait, I won’t get purple PCBs? Profound sadness. My first thought with the Rollies was can the arc eye 2.0 fit without drilling since there is enough clearence on the sides for wire to fit through. After looking at the pictures of the headers, it became obvious that wouldn’t work. Still interested to see if the 2.0s fit w/ drilling. Was considering using Rollies in my next stick since they are cheap, and good quality from what I’ve seen.
So how do those now fit in the button housing? Do you have to drill 7 holes?
hmmm, I like the idea of this swappables CPO / top plates. I was immediatley thinking of the strike devices. TEasy Strike and Dual Strike has this 20 pin break out connector.
here you see this one connected via ribbon cable to a fight pad.
There exists extra harness for the 20 pin break out like this here
So you go from the 20 pin connector directly to the quick disconnects. No need of the terminals anymore.
Effect would be like this:
- Unscrew the top panel
- UnPlug of the 20 pin connector
- Plug the new control panel
- screw it and finished.
So Mike has already made EX Strike which offers here modding potential as well.

About the ARC EYEs. Version 1 is nearly sold out in my shop. The people love it. I`ve no doubt that v2 will be a burner.

Well purple is cool and all, but i think i’ll go white again due to better reflectivity (theoretically speaking)… i’m placing factory order soon… what pcb color does everyone want to see? I might be convinced if enough people speak up… =D
As for rollies, if you want, i can send arceye2 with no pins attached (you can run wires yourself) and that will net you savings of 25 cents off each arc eye
correct… But its a lot easier than you think… there will be a drilling template provided… it will all become clear once i have video #3 of my latest video series filmed (ETA in about a month)…
just make sure you have a drill and a 1/16" bit =D
I can take pre-orders now and fill orders in the order i receive money in… lol…
in fact, this will help me a bit to avoid two currency conversions (to canadian and back to usd) as i’m spending thousands of US dollars to get this going and i can just pass the money directly to the factory without paying first by exchanging my money from CAD to USD to pay them, then accepting payments from customers and having to exchange USD back to CAD
Ok i’m pleased to say the final design has been verified… everything has worked out beautifully… it took 4 prototype runs to get it right!
i will be placing the factory order soon, as soon as i can get a new quote in and get that money to the factory next…

good shit purps! nice tip 32teeth! these will soon be out in wild! a much deserved accomplishment/achievement! i was curious when you are going to post the drill template for the header holes…b/c im finishing up pwm public release edition very soon and then jumping to the PS-15-KNs and i want to be able to bang out that set and make them into functional blocks with options for standard (no holes) ae1 (dremeled microswitch) or ae2 (whatever that turns out to be), all in one shot

Votes for purple PCBs… I have a question about the drilling template, will it be something that we put in the button and mark where to drill and do you have any pictures of it by any chance?
purple sounds really neat and all but i vote white…you wont be able to see the arc eye 2 in the button anyway so i would rather be (theoretically) safe than sorry.

After doing a stick with the rollie buttons, I think that even with the space on the side to run the wire, drilling the bottom works better with the arc eyes because of where the solder pads are. Even if you were using arc eyes without any pin headers (wiring straight to the arc eye) it would make more sense to just drill holes in the bottom.
