i knew i knew i knew it! wow first of all hats off for the excellent video demo/explantion, very informative. 2nd you guys are all off the hook, you all have been putting some serious time and effort behind the scenes to get all these boards to interpolate nicely. 3rd you’ve really outdone yourself with the design of ae 2.0. with 2 sets of rgb headers on each board, it will def make daisy chaining a cinch. if you can offer these @ $5 each like you stated earlier, then it is my opinion that they will be of outstanding value to the end user. the fact that in the end you will be able to pull off a dual mod with some led loving and pwm goodness and completely solder-less (well for most people), is crazy and really changing the modding game, to let noobies in at the door. custom modders will have an easier time and quicker turn arounds when modding, but they also may lose some business too because more people might be inclined to the mods themselves now. this is a very exciting time to be a modder!!!
Shit now I REALLY have to rethink my project. All this goodness will make my life slightly easier. While I am currently quite invested in all the tools, im glad i havent gotten around to purchasing all the wiring and stuff yet. If i go this route, it will save me money in that area.
Strangely enough, I only have one question at this time lol, are the components the same size on the arc2 vs the arc1, like the 5050 leds and 0805 resistors?

My birthday is in May. I believe it is time to (finally) commence my first mod. I had planned on rigging up some ghetto system using screw terminals to achieve basically what all these new pcbs and stuff provide, but obviously mine would have been scrappy to say the least (at least, internally).

Oh, can I just ask, I the ArcEye2s really ONLY compatible with PS-14-KNs? I am still somewhat noobish, but I had read they were the same as some other Seimitsu buttons aside from the nut/colour/plunger-double-ness/etc. I just want to be sure.
Well, its made specifically for Semitsu 30mm screw ins… The previous arc eye fit in the snap in semitsu clears as well, but this version wont fit it (semitsu stopped making clear snap ins anyhow)… had to make room for male headers…
As for compatibility with other buttons, it may fit, it may not… i didnt do any testing… semitsu ps-14-kn clears are by far the best choice for led modding… so proceed at your own risk XD
When can we get a look at one installed aka when are the other vids coming? Also are we going to be drilling 6 holes in the bottom of our buttons?
I messed up during filming of vid #2 (camera tilted out of place and i didnt notice until mod was finished)… so i need someone in the Toronto area who wants to buy a Teasy Strike to volunteer their virgin TE stick for the video…

I’ve got a few pearl and clear buttons from ponyboy left over from my last build. Send me a bad prototype (or a good one, I won’t complain!) and I can let you know how they would fit or what modding would need to be done. Then again, if they’re just male min headers I may have an old arc eye I fried that I could use instead.
All that being said, I agree with purplearms, the seimitsu clear buttons are easiest to work with for this mod.

Hehe… i want to reach the 3200pp that i have on psn, but i’m dealing with wireless lag now that i’m temporarily living at my parents house… i was happy being only 46pp on xbl but people kick me from endless before i even get a chance to play… so i’ll work on the pp and try to fight through the lag and all lamebots out there XD
