Finally getting my project underway. The original plan to use AE2 with osb-m1 switches didn’t work, so I went back to the seimitsu screw ins. The template works perfectly, but I need another one with my next order. By time I got through all 8 buttons (56 holes!) It was cracked and doa. I may shorten the rgb chains for the tek flex, but ill think about that. Preview over on g+
I think one of the arc eye’s I have may be wonky, but I won’t be able to check until Wednesday at the earliest. the PS360 is up top; there is a Sparky FWM under it
where did you get the cable wrap or wireing you are using, i see it a lot on here and it looks really cool but i can’t find anything like that for myself >_<
Cool. I’ll pull it and check it out first. If it’s just a loose solder point it may just be easier to resolder. I’ll let you know for sure.
Oh, and in case anyone reads it and gets the wrong idea, it’s not a knock on the AE or purp. As always, high class stuff and great support. No complaints here.
The wrap is Tech Flex sleeving. I found a kit at my local Microcenter (like a B&M Tiger Direct). You can find it on Ebay or on a few online shops.
Hrm… The FGWidget is set for a single color LED, and the Arc Eyes are RGB. You could use the arc eyes, but you’d have to pick which color you want to shine for each button and run that lead to the FGWidget board
or, you can combine some wires to create the ones you want with a single output from the FGWidget
primary
red
green
blue
secondary
yellow = red + green
purple = red + blue
cyan = green + blue
white = red + green + blue
additionally
if you wanted to get creative, you can throw some resistors in line to create different colors using the blends above
ie: a 100Ohm resistor on the blue line and using red + blue will net out some shade of pink
hey guys I really need ur help :-(
I wanted some cool LED in my PS3 Hori fighting stick… so right now is connected … right onto the + and - USB Power wires … 2x - restitance and 2 yellow LED lights (so 2 restitance and 4 LED lights) and the of course the stick board itself… the leds are working fine but the stick just don´t :-(
is it because the board doesn´t have enough power anymore together with the leds?
We are still targeting for q3 of this year. Purplearms has an ftdi + SMD version already.
A few things going on:
We are considering offering an SMD + ftdi version, just sorting out cost. This version means no programming break out required.
There will be a version with the ftdi and an ftdi breakout will be available.
This would be the same install as the project SPARCLA that you may have seen on the sparky thread.
Effectively we are looking at three product releases coming fall. On top of that we are moving house, which is the primary reason for the release date. Everything has been tested. And ready to go. But half my stuff is already packed up
pardon my lack of lingo/info, but i didn’t understand a word you said aside from the fact that you are moving location and releasing 3 new products. haha
