Where do you guys purchase your wire from? What’s the thinnest recommended gauge?
We just go to our local electronics store.
Something NOT like RadioShack.
A real electronics store has everything.
Buy wire online if you need to.
The max big is 24 AWG wire.
22 AWG too thick for clean.
The max thin, if you want to be like mr.mortified, is 30 AWG.
J&J does only to 26 AWG.
Although the Green TEK-Case you see above, I used 30 AWG for the Paewang to FGWidget LED Controller.
For the Button Wires, I used 24 AWG.
For this one, I used 28 AWG.

The gauge of wire I use depends on which part of the Arcade Stick I am doing.
This is 26 AWG for the wires in Wire Sleeves, 28 AWG for Dual Mod.

This is awesome info. Thank you.
Lots of go info there. Thanks for your time in explaining. I never used superglue for my wiring before. Whats its purpose? Still waiting for an explination for solid wire coming from the button. Is it something I could buy or make?
Are you using Uila or Arch eyes for LEDs?
I don’t know.
None of those.
KNserts are in that TEK-Case.
That solid wire coming from Button you see, that is leads from Resistor.
With the Resistor part cut off.
Instead of soldering flimsy wires to the KNsert, I used something sturdier.
Could I see this whole layout buttons included.
This thread is f’ing amazing. I can’t wait to get home and re-wire. Thank you all the contributors.
did you ever post the tech case I did? that was a pain in the ass…
Yes, previous page.
Inginuity is the mother of invention. I love the use of imagination and thinking outside the box. It keeps my intrest in this hobby. This hobby is not for everyone. Which is another plus in my opinion.
haha! oops! I just saw it. I didnt get to take a pic of it before… I love your camera btw…
Seems logical-ish for a US based stick… How else would you do it?
