To you, it’s an arcade stick stand. To me, it’s a glorified TV tray. At least, that’s what I tell myself in order to protect my bank account.
thanks nice reply. it won’t cost me much compared to more than $400+ that the original maker asks. i can have it for more or less $50 here. though i can use it for my dj hero as well and for my laptop, i can’t use it to support my 50 inch plasma

If it’s 50$ grab it sell it on here for what the original maker asks for make 400+ Profit buy a TV Dinner tray and sit back and go fuck yeah 390$ richer with a 10$ Dinner tray. Then do something productive for a more authentic feel like a supergun or put it in your bank account to take a girl out or get caught up on some bills.

Why post someone else’s design that you’re going to rip off? That member is on the forum. That’s not nice. At least post where you got it and who is the original designer.
There’s a thousand vewlix schematics and wood-working guides on SRK He wouldn’t be stealing anything. I’m with you on that sega-cab idea there d3v it would be freakin sexy specially for Super-Turbo or something.

That’s not exactly the same design to me from Vewlix. Kray came up with it after building Vewlix style cabs and modeled it around the VLX… So yes, he would be ripping off the design from KRAY. Kray does use the Vewlix design but he does acknowledge it.
Krey would be ripping from the actual cab. There is no difference here that’s like saying every cab to follow the VLX Design after krey is a rip of his work that’s a very ignorant and bold statement to make. I’m not gonna spend my time searching through threads on SRK Search it yourself.
Players were doing the ‘‘stand’’ mod way before Krey came around might I add there was many before it.

I think that it’s moreso that it’s DIRECTLY from Kray’s page, site, and design. If you look at the filename of the picture in the OP, it’s even exactly the same filename as the picture on his page. Also, I don’t think jamesepoop is saying that “every cab to follow the VLX Design after Kray is a rip of his work” at all.
I see both of your guys’ points, though. But when it comes to derivative works, acknowledgement of sources is a sort of sign of respect. In that regard, I agree with jamesepoop.
I don’t unless I’m taking something new from that person If I’m just recreating the same vewlix design of a vewlix cab then I have no obligations to credit him for nothing. I’m also sure poster was using an example not so much saying it’s the same clone.

While it’s inspired by it, Kray’s design is clearly, not a copy of the bottom half of a Vewlix cab.
i just use this bookshelf since i like to play standing, it cost 20 bucks and i can display my sticks in it when i’m not playing, which is most of the time…lol.

You should be slapped for mentioning Kray’s work along with these other abominations.
You can always go the portable stand route. I spent about $40 I think, 3 years ago for a snare drum stand from guitar center. Granted I bought it for my porkpie snare - the adjustable claws and height allow me to use almost any arcade stick on it sitting down. It can be modified for greater height. I’ll post pictures of it if you’d like.

these guys make stands perfectly for TE’s.
They even make them adjustable from sitting to standing if you want it that way.

As for copying one person designs off another debate, and who came up with what first will getting us no where.
